Once upon a time a woman and a man, who started an adventure, roughly 11 years ago. But one day they decided instead of being just two persons apart, to be like one together...

Yes, around 11 years ago my wife Diana and I started dating hopping that one day we will be married, it sounds like a fairy tale isn't it?, well, it is not a fairy tale, it is merely the real life.

Whether you have followed since our blog was released, you should know that in March of 2010, I proposed marriage to my wife, and since then we try to set our wedding day, but lots of things happened...

Remembering, was in February of 2011 when we attended "Expo tu Boda" event at World Trade Centre Mexico City, the place was full of stuff related to weddings, dresses, tuxedos, wedding venues, ballrooms and so on, all from the modest to the luxurious ones.

After having a look arround, finally we find wedding venues at the beach, then, suddenly my mind flew away, to Cancun when I propose my wife to marry me.

-Would be great to celebrate our wedding in Cancun, isn't it? I asked Diana.

-Yes, would be great, but surely is out of our budget, she answered.

-Let's have a look around, maybe we are lucky and find something, I replied.

We were asking on every stand when finally we find it, the perfect place for our wedding, it was not in Cancun but was close to there, just in Cozumel, to be precise on an Island called "La Isla de la Pasion", it was just beautiful. We asked some questions about the place for the religious ceremony, they answer us that there is a little chapel on the island to perform official religious ceremonies. It was really great, so that, It was our chance by the fact that all places we asked before offered symbolic religious ceremonies at the beach, thus, we appealed for a 50 px budget and detailed info about the different wedding options.

We were surprised by the prices, not because were expensive, were the opposite, really affordable, in spite of being a private event on a private island with such a great view and white sands, there was no comparison with other places.

We took a leaflet to write all the information received and the person who attend us give us a card so as to contact him later, so, we move forward looking around.

Unfortunately, we could not continue with our wedding plans due to the passing on of my father in law, so that, we hold our plans over for a few months.

A year passed since my wife's father tragical event, then we continue with our wedding plans, so, attended again "Expo tu boda" event looking for Diamond Orchid Weddings' Stand to set up the wedding of our dreams, was when we met Yozelin, our wedding planner, who explain us what Diamond Orchid Wedding offer us when hiring them, thus, we sign the contract for a wedding on December 15th, 2012, curiously it was Saturday, just like the day I asked Diana to be my girlfriend.

We were excited, so that, we continue walking around just looking for stuff we will surely going to need.

We find a stand with tequila bottles with customised labels, so we asked the person in charge and she commented us that all tequila bottles were unique due to the mere fact that they create tequila for the amount of bottles we need, no more, so that, breed was unique, then we bought 2 boxes with 12 bottles each one.

Looking round at invitation cards area there were a crowded stand, we walk to and what we looked at was simply amazing, lots of beautiful and impressive invitation cards, we found a model with a little box used as container, that was kinda original, so we were magically in love, then, we asked for a budget with 25 cards, fortunately they accepted the amount of cards to create due to commonly they do not, a minimum of 50 is required.

Walking along "Expo tu boda" event, we collected lot of pamphlets, leaflets, personal cards, samples and so on. we were quite happy...

A few weeks later we informed friends and rellies about our big day, so that we received lots of congratulations and good wishes, but it was just the beginning of this journey.

A traditional wedding in Mexico is composed by a religious ceremony, a civil registration that is just signing a law contract by both parts and at last but not the least the reception. In our case, we decided to add an extra ceremony a Maya Ceremony, that is the way how Maya People get married a log time ago.

In order to get married we need the approval of our local priest and before that we have to enrol into a Marriage Course issued by the local house of workship. Indeed, The Christian Church ask for some documents too, these documents are Baptism, Communion and Holy Eucharist, which are known as sacraments. In my case, I was granted with Baptism and Communion but not with Eucharist  yet, so, I had to find a christian church where I could attend a fast course. Searching on Google, I found a Christian Church Named "Nuestra Señora Aparecida del Brazil" that offered one session course so as to be granted with Holy Euchasisty, thus, I picked up the phone's handset and call them to ask for information. Then, the young lady at the other side of the phone line explained me that the coming Eucharisty day will be on June the 16th and inscriptions were open, so that, I joined for the Communion Course. Indeed, my fiancee and I enrolled for the Marriage Course at my fiancee's chapel.

Days were passing and my fiancee and I with help of our wedding planner were making some arrangements and also attending the marriage course. We have a long way to go until our wedding day.

May finally arrives and with it one of the most important wedding expos, at least for us, "Expo casate en la playa", so we come up in order to find a creative, keen and skilful photographer for our big day and to meet with Yozelin to clarify some misunderstandings. Walking along the expo and looking at all the stands we found what we believed was an inspired photographer and fortunately for us he lived in Cancun, so, after a full view on his work we decided to hire his services, thus, we have photographer.

A few minutes later we met with our wedding planner to resolve some qualms and notify her about our visit to Cozumel in order to have a look at the wedding place, choose the right dishes and the wedding's cake flavour for the big day. Our visit was planned for August the 25th to the 28th in 2012, visit that was sponsored by Melia Cozumel with 3 nights of free stay certificate and Travel Pass from Banamex with a 2x1 plane flight, so that, we will not spend too much.

After a few weeks, at last, the 17th of June arrives and with it my first Half Marathon run and later that day, holy eucharist celebration, so, I was excited. I woke up pretty early that day and wore my sports gear to run 21.095 km aside Mike one of my friends. So, we left our houses and drove to CU (Ciudad Universitaria) to take the bus that will conduct us to the competition place. Unfortunatelly, due to a terrible traffic jam and a little shower we could not arrive on time to the bus stop, we arrived too late and there were no buses, but suddenly, from no where, a bus appeared to take us to the competition place. I am not going to write deeply around this because I will publish a post about it later, thus, if you want to know whether we do not finish or we finish the competition, read it later here on my blog...

Well, after half marathon competition, I had to attend Holy Confirmation at "Nuestra Señora Aparecida del Brazil" Church, so that, my family and my fiance's family met me there. There were lots of people ringed in to celebrate such an important religious ceremony, so, at 18:00 hrs. the ceremony started and all people took their sits, it was a long ceremony for me because some hours before I ran a half marathon but, well, after 1 hr and half I finally got the Eucharisty certificate, so that, all my family and friends left the church to proceed to my fiance's to celebrate such an important event with a tasty dinner.

Some days later we completed our Marriage course and prepared a kind of spiritual retirement, it was set for July the 15th. I remember that day, it was alluring because each men of the group joined to perform a classic Mexican Serenata for our fiances, so, some men played either guitars or accordion while others, including myself, sang some romantic classic songs. At the end of the show, each one gave to his fiance a present, in my case I gave her a little crucifix that represented my faith for god. That day, we concluded our retirement with a potluck meal, there were cochinita tortas, mexican style raice, refried beans, pork cracklings dipped in green tomato sauce, boiled chicken topped with green mole and so on, everything was delicious.

After a few weeks from our spiritual retirement, August the 25th arrived with our visit to Cozumel so as to take a look at our wedding place, choose reception's dinner menu, flavour for the wedding cake and do the last arrangements with assistence of our wedding planner, this part of the journey is available on a past post named Our wedding Venue when you can review more deeply about it.

Había una vez 2 una mujer y un hombre quienes comenzaron una aventura hace más o menos 11 años. Pero un día ellos decidieron en lugar de ser solo dos personas, ser una misma...

Si, hace 11 años mi esposa Diana y Yo comenzamos a salir esperando que un día nos casáramos, suena como un cuento de hadas, ¿no?, bueno, no es un cuento de hadas, es solo la vida real.

Si nos han estado siguiendo desde que se inicio nuestro blog, deberían saber que en Marzo del 2010, Le propuse matrimonio a mi esposa, y desde ese momento hemos intentado ponerle fecha a la boda, pero muchas cosas han sucedido...

Recordando, fue en Febrero del 2011 cuando asistimos a "Expo tu Boda" en el World Trade Center de la Ciudad de México, el lugar estaba repleto de mercancía referente a bodas, vestidos, trajes, salones, promoción de lugares de eventos y mas, desde los más modestos a los más lujosos.

Después de mirar un rato, finalmente encontramos lugares para casarse en la playa, así que, de pronto mi mente voló y voló, hasta Cancún, donde le propuse matrimonio a mi esposa.

- Seria grandioso celebrar nuestra boda en Cancún, ¿no?, le pregunte a Diana.

- Si, seria grandioso, pero seguramente esta fuera de nuestro alcance, ella respondió.

- Miremos todas las opciones, quizá encontremos algo, conteste.

Estábamos preguntando en cada stand cuando de pronto lo encontramos, el lugar perfecto para nuestra boda, No era en Cancún pero estaba muy cerca, era en Cozumel, para ser precisos en la Isla de la Pasión, era simplemente hermosa. Preguntamos algunas cuestiones sobre el lugar para la ceremonia religiosa, ellos nos confirmaron que la isla contaba con una pequeña capilla para realizar la ceremonia oficial de matrimonio. Eso era magnifico, así que era nuestra oportunidad ya que la mayoría de los lugares donde preguntamos solo ofrecían una boda religiosa simbólica sin valor oficial, por lo cual preguntamos por el precio para una celebración con 50 personas y las diferentes opciones con las que contaban.

Nos sorprendimos por los precios, no porque estuvieran por las nubes, si no todo lo contrario, los precios estaban bastante accesibles a pesar de ser un evento privado en una isla con una fabulosa vista y arena color blanca, no había comparación con cualquier otro lugar.

Tomamos un folleto para anotar toda la información recibida, la persona que nos atendió nos obsequio una tarjeta de contacto para llamarle después, así que nos retiramos y continuamos viendo.

Desafortunadamente, no pudimos continuar con nuestros planes debido a que mi suegro falleció, así que pospusimos nuestros planes por unos meses.

Un año pasó después de la partida de mi suegro, así que continuamos con nuestros planes de boda, así que regresamos de nuevo al evento del World Trade Center, Expo tu Boda buscando el Stand de "Diamond Orchid Weddings" para iniciar nuestra boda soñada, fue entonces cuando conocimos a Yozelin, nuestra asesora de bodas quien nos explico todas las opciones que ofrecían para hacer realidad nuestro sueño, así que firmamos el contrato para una boda el día 15 de Diciembre del 2012, curiosamente era un sábado, justo como el día que le pedí a Diana que fuera mi novia.

Estábamos muy emocionados, así que, continuamos buscando cosas que podríamos necesitar en nuestra boda.

Encontramos un Stand donde ofrecían botellas de tequila con etiquetas personalizadas, así que preguntamos al encargado, quien nos comento que todas las botellas de tequila eran únicas debido a que ellos creaban las botellas de tequila solo por la cantidad que requeríamos, ni más ni menos, la cosecha era única, así que compramos 2 cajas con 12 botellas cada una.

Revisando al lugar donde estaban las invitaciones, había un stand donde había mucha gente, así que caminamos hacia él y lo que encontramos era simplemente asombroso, un montón de hermosas e impresionantes tarjetas de invitación, encontramos un modelo que utilizaba una pequeña caja como contenedor, lo cual era muy original, así que nos enamoramos, así que preguntamos por el presupuesto para 25, para nuestra fortuna, ellos aceptaron la cantidad de tarjetas a hacer, ya que comúnmente no, solo hacen un mínimo de 50.

Mientras caminábamos por la expo, juntamos muchos panfletos, folletos, tarjetas personales, muestras y más, estábamos muy contentos.

Después de unas semanas, le informamos a nuestros amigos y familiares sobre nuestro gran día, así que recibimos muchas felicitaciones y buenos deseos, pero eso solo era el inicio de el gran viaje.

Una boda tradicional en México se compone por una ceremonia religiosa, una civil que consiste en la firma de ambas partes de un contrato y al final pero no al último la recepción. En nuestro caso, decidimos agregar una ceremonia extra la Ceremonia Maya, que es la forma en la cual los mayas se casaban hace muchos años atrás.

Para casarnos, necesitamos la aprobación de nuestro sacerdote local y antes de eso tomar un curso de Matrimonio impartido por la iglesia. De hecho, la Iglesia Católica, además pide ciertos documentos, estos documentos son La fe de bautismo, el certificado de la primera comunión y el comprobante de la confirmación los cuales son conocidos también como sacramentos. En mi caso, tengo la fe de bautismo y el certificado de la primera comunión, pero no el comprobante de la confirmación aun, así que tenía que encontrar una iglesia cristiana donde pudiera asistir a un curso rápido. Buscando en Google, encontré una Iglesia llamada "Nuestra Señora Aparecida del Brasil" que ofrecía un curso de una sesión para obtener el comprobante de la Eucaristía, así bien, levante el auricular del teléfono y marque el numero de la Iglesia para pedir informes. Entonces, la señorita al otro lado del teléfono contesto y me explico que la siguiente fecha para la confirmación seria el 16 de Junio y que las inscripciones ya estaban abiertas, así que aproveche y me anote en el curso. De hecho my prometida y yo también nos anotamos en el curso de Matrimonio de la parroquia cercana a donde vivía mi prometida.

Los días pasaron y mi prometida y yo con ayuda de nuestra asesora estuvimos realizando algunos arreglos y también asistiendo al curso de Matrimonio de la Iglesia. Tenemos todavía un largo camino por recorrer para nuestra boda.

El mes de Mayo llego y con él una de las Expos más importantes, por lo menos para nosotros, "La Expo Cásate en la Playa", así que asistimos para encontrar un fotógrafo hábil y creativo para nuestra boda y revisar con Yozelin algunas dudas. Caminando por la expo y revisando todos los stands encontramos lo que pensamos era un fotógrafo creativo y afortunadamente para nosotros el vivía en Cancún, así que, después de revisar a fondo su trabajo, decidimos contratar sus servicios, así que ya tenemos a nuestro fotógrafo.

Después de unos minutos nos encontramos con Yozelin para resolver algunas cuestiones y avisarle de nuestra visita a Cozumel para revisar el lugar de la boda, elegir el menú y el sabor del pastel para el gran día. Nuestra visita estaba planeada del 25 al 28 de Agosto, 2012, la cual fue patrocinada por Meliá Cozumel con un certificado de 3 noches de hospedaje totalmente gratuitas y un boleto de avión al 2x1 por Travel Pass de Banamex, por lo cual, no gastaremos mucho.

Después de algunas semanas, por fin llego el 16 de Junio y con el mi primer carrera de medio maratón y más tarde ese día la celebración de la confirmación, así que estaba muy emocionado. Me levante muy temprano y vestí con mi equipo para correr lo que sería mi primera media maratón junto a Mike uno de mis amigos. Por lo cual abandonamos nuestras casas y condujimos hacia CU (Ciudad Universitaria) para tomar el autobús que nos llevaría a la línea de salida. Desafortunadamente y debido a un terrible congestionamiento vial y lluvia no pudimos llegar a tiempo a la parada del autobús, llegamos demasiado tarde y ya no había autobuses, pero de pronto, de la nada, un autobús apareció para llevarnos al lugar de la competencia. No voy a escribir a detalle sobre este tema ya que publicare un post enteramente dedicado a eso, así que si desean saber si no terminamos o terminamos la carrera, léanlo aquí mas adelante en el blog.

Bueno, después de la carrera, tenía que asistir a mi confirmación en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora Aparecida del Brasil, por lo cual mi familia y al de mi prometida se reunieron conmigo ahí. Había mucha gente reunida para celebrar tan importante ceremonia religiosa, así que a las 18:00 hrs. comenzó la ceremonia y toda la gente tomo sus asientos, fue una larga ceremonia para mí ya que horas antes corrí una media maratón pero bueno, después de una hora y media, finalmente obtuve mi certificado de confirmación, por lo que todos mis familiares y amigos se fueron de la iglesia para terminar de celebrar en la casa de mi prometida con una deliciosa cena.

Unos días después, completamos nuestro curso de matrimonio y preparamos una especie de retiro espiritual, se planeó para el 15 de Julio. Recuerdo ese día, fue magnífico ya que cada hombre del grupo se reunió para llevar a cabo una clásica serenata mexicana para nuestras prometidas, así que, algunos tocaban ya sea la guitarra o el acordeón, mientras los demás, incluido yo, cantamos algunas canciones clásicas románticas. Al final del show, cada quien le dio a su prometida un regalo, en mi caso, yo le di un pequeño crucifijo que representaba mi fe en dios. Ese día terminamos nuestro retiro con convivio, había tortas de cochinita, arroz estilo mexicano, frijoles refritos, chicharrón en salsa verde, pollo con mole verde y otras cosas, todo estuvo delicioso.

Después de algunas semanas desde nuestro retiro espiritual llego el 25 de Agosto con nuestra visita a Cozumel para darle un vistazo al lugar de la boda, elegir el menú de la cena de recepción, el sabor del pastel de bodas y resolver algunos últimos arreglos con ayuda de nuestra organizadora de bodas, esta parte de nuestra aventura esta disponible en un post anterior llamado El Lugar de nuestra boda donde pueden revisar mas a detalle.

The raise of a runner / El nacimiento de un corredor

Everything started just over one year ago, I remember it like it was yesterday. Never did I reckon what  I was going to initiate...

Like most of runners, I was encouraged by a friend who invited me join him to a competition, the famous We Run Mexico by Nike. Was insane the mere fact of thinking about it, I have never run neither a kilometre less fifteen and we have just one month to train, it was absolutely for crazy people.

I dunno why, might be due to my insanity or because I like challenges or whatever, but I accepted his request with some kind of excitement, so that, we scheduled our training days for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after work.

The following day was quite cold with a soft fog covering the environment, the sun was barely raising behind those faraway hills and my flat's windows were like sweating due to the warm weather inside or maybe because they knew how was I going to end up after my training. It was mid-October at 6:00 hrs. when I was almost to leave, so, I prepared my running gear, which consist of some trainers from kangaroos brand, a black tee and my old but comfortable training pants, then, I put it inside my rucksack and left my flat to commute to my work.

I felt excited all day long till 18:00 hrs. when we move to a local park named "Las Arboledas", that is close to Universidad Mall and Division del Norte Underground Station. The park has a gravel track with just over 700 mts. of length and it is illuminated at night, there you can find lots of people training, so, we join them in order to start our training.

We begin with a warm up session so as to prepare for the training, thus, we did some stretches for about 10 minutes. After our warming up, we started jogging for roughly 1 kilometer before running, that was like walking smoothly along a beach on a sunny day, I could feel the sand between my toes and a warm and gently caress breeze, it was really enjoyable. In my case, I felt quite good, then we continue jogging while softly increasing our pace. 

After a few minutes, we were running with a peace of about 6.30 min/km. there were moments I felt my legs quite heavy like wearing concrete shoes while trying to move along a tar track. I could not continue at the same pace, my fuel tank was close to be dry and ahead there was the battleground waiting for me, surviving possibilities were almost dust. 

Suddenly, with no announcement, I found myself trying to go on along my way amid a tough battle, there were lots of soldiers whom were trying to hit me, hurt me or even kill me, but my heart, willing and mind were skillful and my legs strong enough to avoid its attacks and weapons, thus, I continued letting those soldiers faraway in the distance.

Feeling tired but pleased with my 8 kilometers workout, I ended-up my training, thus, my mate and I proceeded to flex our muscles so as to avoid cramps and eradicate lactic acid out of our body.

The following day, we continue with our training in the same place at same hour, but this time I ran 6 km. that made me end up quite exhausted, barely I could walk.

The next morning, and because of the stressing effects of continuous training, that were making havoc in my body, I felt terribly tired and my legs and muscles were quite sore, I could not even get out of my bed neither walk, so that, I did not go to work, using as excuse a strong headache. So, I stayed at home in my warm bed laying over so as to recover from a hard training.

Coming days where likely the same, a hard training till our Great Dance Day at "We Run Mexico" scheduled on November the 26th, but that is another story....

Todo comenzó hace más de un año, lo recuerdo como si hubiera sido apenas ayer. Nunca me imagine lo que estaba por iniciar...

Como la mayoría de los corredores, yo fui animado a practicar este deporte por un amigo quien me invito a inscribirme a una carrera, la famosa "We Run Mexico" patrocinada por Nike. Era de locos el solo hecho de pensar en correrla, en mi vida había corrido un kilometro mucho menos 15 y solo contábamos con un mes para entrenar, estaba de locos. 

No sé porque, probablemente debido a mi locura o tal vez porque me gustan los retos que se yo, pero accedí a su invitación con mucha ansiedad, de modo que programamos nuestros entrenamientos para los Lunes, Martes y Jueves después del trabajo.

El día siguiente estaba helando y había un poco de neblina cubriendo el ambiente, el sol apenas se asomaba por detrás de unas lejanas colinas y las ventanas de mi apartamento parecían sudar por el clima cálido del interior o como si supieran como terminaría después de mi entrenamiento.

Era mediados de octubre a las 6:00 hrs. cuando estaba por irme al trabajo, así que prepare mis cosas para correr, que consiste de unos tenis marca Kangaroos, una camiseta negra y mis viejos pero cómodos pants, los coloque en mi mochila y me fui al trabajo.

Me sentí emocionado todo el día hasta las 18:00 hrs. cuando nos fuimos a entrenar a un parque llamado "Las Arboledas", que está cerca de Plaza Universidad y del Metro División del Norte. El parque cuenta con una pista de más de 700 mts. de longitud y está iluminada en la noche, puedes encontrar mucha gente entrenando, así que, nos unimos a ellos para iniciar nuestro entrenamiento.

Comenzamos con una sesión de calentamiento para iniciar el entrenamiento. Así que, realizamos estiramientos por alrededor de 10 minutos. Después de calentar, comenzamos a trotar por más o menos 1 km. antes de empezar a correr, en mi caso, me sentí muy bien, así que continuamos corriendo mientras aumentábamos la velocidad de forma gradual.

Después de unos minutos, nos encontrábamos corriendo a un paso de 6.30 min/km. Hubo momentos que sentí mis piernas muy pesadas, como si usara tenis de concreto e intentara moverme sobre una pista de alquitrán. No podía continuar al mismo ritmo, mi tanque de combustible estaba casi seco y más adelante estaba el campo de batalla esperándome, las posibilidades de sobrevivir eran casi nulas. De pronto, sin aviso, me encontré intentando seguir mi camino en medio de una dura pelea, había muchos soldados quienes intentaban golpearme, lastimarme o incluso matarme, pero mi corazón, mente y voluntad fueron hábiles y mis piernas lo suficientemente fuertes para evadir sus ataques y armas, así que continúe dejando muy atrás a esos soldados.

Sintiéndome cansado pero muy a gusto con mi carrera de 8 kilómetros, concluí mi entrenamiento, por lo que mi amigo y yo procedimos con estiramientos de músculos para evitar calambres y erradicar el acido láctico de nuestro cuerpo. 

Al día siguiente, continuamos con nuestro entrenamiento en el mismo lugar a la misma hora, solo que en esta ocasión corrí 6 kilómetros, lo que me hizo terminar realmente agotado, apenas pudiendo caminar.

La mañana siguiente y debido a los efectos estresantes del continuo entrenamiento, que hizo estragos en mi cuerpo, me sentí extremadamente cansado y mis piernas y músculos me dolían mucho, no me podía levantar de la cama y mucho menos caminar, así que no fui a trabajar ese día y use como excusa un terrible dolor de cabeza. Por lo que me quede en casa sobre mi tibia cama para recuperarme del duro entrenamiento.

Los días siguientes fueron muy parecidos, un muy buen entrenamiento hasta el gran día en "We Run Mexico" programado para el 26 de Noviembre, pero eso es otra historia...

Our Wedding Venue / El Lugar de nuestra Boda.

A few weeks ago, we traveled to Cozumel in order to have a look around at our wedding venue and figure out how to set up the decoration. Indeed, we tasted some of the available menu dishes and weeding cake flavours.

Hace algunas semanas, viajamos a Cozumel para conocer mejor el lugar donde se llevara a cabo nuestra boda y saber como decorar el lugar. De hecho, probamos algunos de los platos del menú disponible y los sabores del pastel de boda.

We have been a little bit busy with tons of work to do and our wedding plans, thus, writing on our blog has been a quite difficult labour. Despite that inconvenient, we are here writing the latest important events that has happened recently.

Whether you has been reading our blog, you should know that we are going to get married on December the 15th at Cozumel. We had hired a wedding planner from there who is helping us with all the wedding details. At this time we are working with the invitations, booking flights and accommodations, setting up the fireworks show, decoration and music for our wedding, thus, we need to meet with our wedding planner the last week of August.

On the other hand, in May, I did The FCEs' Assessment by Cambridge, unfortunately I could not get my certificate, so I will prepare to try it again, but now with the CAE, just wish me luck.

Also, on Sunday the 17th of June, I ran my first half marathon that was celebrated in commemoration of Fathers' Day. So, I faced the challenge so that to honor my father and in memorial of grandfathers and father-in-law, who passed on a year ago. Fortunately, I could complete the marathon just over two hours with a terrible pain on my calfs but feeling really great. Indeed, I am going to try another half marathon competition on September the 2nd, Mexicos' City Half Marathon, that is such an important international competition here in my hometown.

About our plan to move to Australia, we reckon that by now could not be possible due to the expenses we are going through, but just by now, we are not giving up.

Hola Blogeros.

Hemos estado un poco ocupados con toneladas de trabajo por hacer y la planeación de nuestra boda, por lo cual ha sido muy difícil escribir en nuestro blog. A pesar de este pequeño inconveniente estamos escribiendo lo mas relevante que que ha sucedido en estos últimos meses.

Si han leído nuestro blog, deberían saber que nos vamos a casar el 15 de Diciembre en Cozumel. Hemos contratado una persona, que vive en Cozumel, que nos ayude con la planeación de todo el evento y los detalles que vayan saliendo. En estos momentos estamos trabajando con las invitaciones, reservando hoteles y vuelos, revisando proveedores de pirotecnia, la decoración del lugar y la música, así que necesitamos reunirnos con nuestro planificador la ultima semana de Agosto.

Por otra parte, en Mayo, realice el First Certificate de Cambridge, desafortunadamente no conseguí el certificado, así que me preparare para obtenerlo, solo que en su lugar, me preparare para el CAE, solo deseenme suerte.

Tambien, el 17 de Junio, corrí por primera vez mi primer medio maratón el cual se celebro en conmemoración del día del padre, Asi que enfrente el reto y dedique esta competencia a mi padre, abuelos y suegro, quien fallecio hace un año. Afortunadamente pude terminar el maratón en mas o menos de dos horas con un terrible dolor en las pantorrillas pero sintiendome muy bien. De hecho, voy a intentar otro medio maratón el 2 de Septiembre, el Medio Maratón de la Ciudad de Mexico, que es un importante evento internacional en mi ciudad.

Sobre nuestro plan de mudarnos a Australia, pensamos que por ahora no es posible, debido los gastos a los que nos enfrentamos, pero solo por ahora, no nos estamos dando por vencidos.

2012 The Year / 2012 "El Año"

Never did we think-out how challenging this year will be after finally tacking back some projects we had on mind. 

Thus, our wedding and immigration process to OZtralia are the years' main goals in few words.

You amazed?, we also, jejee!

We have no idea how to describe the feelings that our bodies are experimenting neither the ideas which hit our thoughts. The only adjective that would work to speak our minds out is excitement. Even though, we could try from the beginning.

Firstly, our big day. The Wedding. (I can hear some kind of music playing deeply in my mind...)

In spite of being planned since early 2011, which was the toughest year by the way, was till now when we decided to turn it into a real thing, therefore, the "D" day is going to be on December the 15th, that is our 10th anniversary. 

We have already hired a wedding planner who is going to help us throughout the whole process.

In the other hand, our immigration process has been started, so,  we have chosen Viva en Australia like a pathway for meeting our dreams. 

Following the advice of our migration consultant, in first place, we must get at least 7 at all bands of The IELTS so as to lodge our visa application.

In such manner dear friends, we are going to be a little busy, but hoping we can update our blog more frequently.

Nunca pensamos lo desafiante que este año sería después de retomar algunos proyectos que teníamos en mente.

Así que, nuestra boda y la migración a OZtralia son para este año nuestras metas en pocas palabras

¿Sorprendidos?, nosotros también.

No tenemos idea de como describir los sentimientos que experimentan nuestros cuerpos ni las ideas que bombardean nuestros pensamientos. El único adjetivo que podría funcionar para describir nuestras emociones es emoción. Aunque podríamos comenzar por el principio.

En primer lugar, nuestro gran día. La Boda. (puedo escuchar cierta música en mi cabeza...)

A pesar de que se planeo a principios del 2011, que por cierto fue el año mas difícil por el que hemos pasado, no fue sino hasta ahora que decidimos hacerlo realidad, así que, el día "D" será el 15 de Diciembre, que es nuestro 10 Aniversario de novios.

Ya hemos contratado un planificador de bodas quien nos ayudara a lo largo de todo el proceso.

Por otro lado, nuestro proceso de migración ha sido iniciado, así que hemos escogido a Viva en Australia como el camino que seguiremos para cumplir con nuestros sueños.

Siguiendo los consejos de nuestra consultora de migración, en primer lugar, debemos obtener como mínimo 7 en todas las bandas del IELTS para presentar nuestra aplicación de visa.

Así que queridos amigos, estaremos algo ocupados, aunque esperamos que podamos actualizar mas seguido el blog.
