Once upon a time a woman and a man, who started an adventure, roughly 11 years ago. But one day they decided instead of being just two persons apart, to be like one together...

Yes, around 11 years ago my wife Diana and I started dating hopping that one day we will be married, it sounds like a fairy tale isn't it?, well, it is not a fairy tale, it is merely the real life.

Whether you have followed since our blog was released, you should know that in March of 2010, I proposed marriage to my wife, and since then we try to set our wedding day, but lots of things happened...

Remembering, was in February of 2011 when we attended "Expo tu Boda" event at World Trade Centre Mexico City, the place was full of stuff related to weddings, dresses, tuxedos, wedding venues, ballrooms and so on, all from the modest to the luxurious ones.

After having a look arround, finally we find wedding venues at the beach, then, suddenly my mind flew away, to Cancun when I propose my wife to marry me.

-Would be great to celebrate our wedding in Cancun, isn't it? I asked Diana.

-Yes, would be great, but surely is out of our budget, she answered.

-Let's have a look around, maybe we are lucky and find something, I replied.

We were asking on every stand when finally we find it, the perfect place for our wedding, it was not in Cancun but was close to there, just in Cozumel, to be precise on an Island called "La Isla de la Pasion", it was just beautiful. We asked some questions about the place for the religious ceremony, they answer us that there is a little chapel on the island to perform official religious ceremonies. It was really great, so that, It was our chance by the fact that all places we asked before offered symbolic religious ceremonies at the beach, thus, we appealed for a 50 px budget and detailed info about the different wedding options.

We were surprised by the prices, not because were expensive, were the opposite, really affordable, in spite of being a private event on a private island with such a great view and white sands, there was no comparison with other places.

We took a leaflet to write all the information received and the person who attend us give us a card so as to contact him later, so, we move forward looking around.

Unfortunately, we could not continue with our wedding plans due to the passing on of my father in law, so that, we hold our plans over for a few months.

A year passed since my wife's father tragical event, then we continue with our wedding plans, so, attended again "Expo tu boda" event looking for Diamond Orchid Weddings' Stand to set up the wedding of our dreams, was when we met Yozelin, our wedding planner, who explain us what Diamond Orchid Wedding offer us when hiring them, thus, we sign the contract for a wedding on December 15th, 2012, curiously it was Saturday, just like the day I asked Diana to be my girlfriend.

We were excited, so that, we continue walking around just looking for stuff we will surely going to need.

We find a stand with tequila bottles with customised labels, so we asked the person in charge and she commented us that all tequila bottles were unique due to the mere fact that they create tequila for the amount of bottles we need, no more, so that, breed was unique, then we bought 2 boxes with 12 bottles each one.

Looking round at invitation cards area there were a crowded stand, we walk to and what we looked at was simply amazing, lots of beautiful and impressive invitation cards, we found a model with a little box used as container, that was kinda original, so we were magically in love, then, we asked for a budget with 25 cards, fortunately they accepted the amount of cards to create due to commonly they do not, a minimum of 50 is required.

Walking along "Expo tu boda" event, we collected lot of pamphlets, leaflets, personal cards, samples and so on. we were quite happy...

A few weeks later we informed friends and rellies about our big day, so that we received lots of congratulations and good wishes, but it was just the beginning of this journey.

A traditional wedding in Mexico is composed by a religious ceremony, a civil registration that is just signing a law contract by both parts and at last but not the least the reception. In our case, we decided to add an extra ceremony a Maya Ceremony, that is the way how Maya People get married a log time ago.

In order to get married we need the approval of our local priest and before that we have to enrol into a Marriage Course issued by the local house of workship. Indeed, The Christian Church ask for some documents too, these documents are Baptism, Communion and Holy Eucharist, which are known as sacraments. In my case, I was granted with Baptism and Communion but not with Eucharist  yet, so, I had to find a christian church where I could attend a fast course. Searching on Google, I found a Christian Church Named "Nuestra Señora Aparecida del Brazil" that offered one session course so as to be granted with Holy Euchasisty, thus, I picked up the phone's handset and call them to ask for information. Then, the young lady at the other side of the phone line explained me that the coming Eucharisty day will be on June the 16th and inscriptions were open, so that, I joined for the Communion Course. Indeed, my fiancee and I enrolled for the Marriage Course at my fiancee's chapel.

Days were passing and my fiancee and I with help of our wedding planner were making some arrangements and also attending the marriage course. We have a long way to go until our wedding day.

May finally arrives and with it one of the most important wedding expos, at least for us, "Expo casate en la playa", so we come up in order to find a creative, keen and skilful photographer for our big day and to meet with Yozelin to clarify some misunderstandings. Walking along the expo and looking at all the stands we found what we believed was an inspired photographer and fortunately for us he lived in Cancun, so, after a full view on his work we decided to hire his services, thus, we have photographer.

A few minutes later we met with our wedding planner to resolve some qualms and notify her about our visit to Cozumel in order to have a look at the wedding place, choose the right dishes and the wedding's cake flavour for the big day. Our visit was planned for August the 25th to the 28th in 2012, visit that was sponsored by Melia Cozumel with 3 nights of free stay certificate and Travel Pass from Banamex with a 2x1 plane flight, so that, we will not spend too much.

After a few weeks, at last, the 17th of June arrives and with it my first Half Marathon run and later that day, holy eucharist celebration, so, I was excited. I woke up pretty early that day and wore my sports gear to run 21.095 km aside Mike one of my friends. So, we left our houses and drove to CU (Ciudad Universitaria) to take the bus that will conduct us to the competition place. Unfortunatelly, due to a terrible traffic jam and a little shower we could not arrive on time to the bus stop, we arrived too late and there were no buses, but suddenly, from no where, a bus appeared to take us to the competition place. I am not going to write deeply around this because I will publish a post about it later, thus, if you want to know whether we do not finish or we finish the competition, read it later here on my blog...

Well, after half marathon competition, I had to attend Holy Confirmation at "Nuestra Señora Aparecida del Brazil" Church, so that, my family and my fiance's family met me there. There were lots of people ringed in to celebrate such an important religious ceremony, so, at 18:00 hrs. the ceremony started and all people took their sits, it was a long ceremony for me because some hours before I ran a half marathon but, well, after 1 hr and half I finally got the Eucharisty certificate, so that, all my family and friends left the church to proceed to my fiance's to celebrate such an important event with a tasty dinner.

Some days later we completed our Marriage course and prepared a kind of spiritual retirement, it was set for July the 15th. I remember that day, it was alluring because each men of the group joined to perform a classic Mexican Serenata for our fiances, so, some men played either guitars or accordion while others, including myself, sang some romantic classic songs. At the end of the show, each one gave to his fiance a present, in my case I gave her a little crucifix that represented my faith for god. That day, we concluded our retirement with a potluck meal, there were cochinita tortas, mexican style raice, refried beans, pork cracklings dipped in green tomato sauce, boiled chicken topped with green mole and so on, everything was delicious.

After a few weeks from our spiritual retirement, August the 25th arrived with our visit to Cozumel so as to take a look at our wedding place, choose reception's dinner menu, flavour for the wedding cake and do the last arrangements with assistence of our wedding planner, this part of the journey is available on a past post named Our wedding Venue when you can review more deeply about it.

Había una vez 2 una mujer y un hombre quienes comenzaron una aventura hace más o menos 11 años. Pero un día ellos decidieron en lugar de ser solo dos personas, ser una misma...

Si, hace 11 años mi esposa Diana y Yo comenzamos a salir esperando que un día nos casáramos, suena como un cuento de hadas, ¿no?, bueno, no es un cuento de hadas, es solo la vida real.

Si nos han estado siguiendo desde que se inicio nuestro blog, deberían saber que en Marzo del 2010, Le propuse matrimonio a mi esposa, y desde ese momento hemos intentado ponerle fecha a la boda, pero muchas cosas han sucedido...

Recordando, fue en Febrero del 2011 cuando asistimos a "Expo tu Boda" en el World Trade Center de la Ciudad de México, el lugar estaba repleto de mercancía referente a bodas, vestidos, trajes, salones, promoción de lugares de eventos y mas, desde los más modestos a los más lujosos.

Después de mirar un rato, finalmente encontramos lugares para casarse en la playa, así que, de pronto mi mente voló y voló, hasta Cancún, donde le propuse matrimonio a mi esposa.

- Seria grandioso celebrar nuestra boda en Cancún, ¿no?, le pregunte a Diana.

- Si, seria grandioso, pero seguramente esta fuera de nuestro alcance, ella respondió.

- Miremos todas las opciones, quizá encontremos algo, conteste.

Estábamos preguntando en cada stand cuando de pronto lo encontramos, el lugar perfecto para nuestra boda, No era en Cancún pero estaba muy cerca, era en Cozumel, para ser precisos en la Isla de la Pasión, era simplemente hermosa. Preguntamos algunas cuestiones sobre el lugar para la ceremonia religiosa, ellos nos confirmaron que la isla contaba con una pequeña capilla para realizar la ceremonia oficial de matrimonio. Eso era magnifico, así que era nuestra oportunidad ya que la mayoría de los lugares donde preguntamos solo ofrecían una boda religiosa simbólica sin valor oficial, por lo cual preguntamos por el precio para una celebración con 50 personas y las diferentes opciones con las que contaban.

Nos sorprendimos por los precios, no porque estuvieran por las nubes, si no todo lo contrario, los precios estaban bastante accesibles a pesar de ser un evento privado en una isla con una fabulosa vista y arena color blanca, no había comparación con cualquier otro lugar.

Tomamos un folleto para anotar toda la información recibida, la persona que nos atendió nos obsequio una tarjeta de contacto para llamarle después, así que nos retiramos y continuamos viendo.

Desafortunadamente, no pudimos continuar con nuestros planes debido a que mi suegro falleció, así que pospusimos nuestros planes por unos meses.

Un año pasó después de la partida de mi suegro, así que continuamos con nuestros planes de boda, así que regresamos de nuevo al evento del World Trade Center, Expo tu Boda buscando el Stand de "Diamond Orchid Weddings" para iniciar nuestra boda soñada, fue entonces cuando conocimos a Yozelin, nuestra asesora de bodas quien nos explico todas las opciones que ofrecían para hacer realidad nuestro sueño, así que firmamos el contrato para una boda el día 15 de Diciembre del 2012, curiosamente era un sábado, justo como el día que le pedí a Diana que fuera mi novia.

Estábamos muy emocionados, así que, continuamos buscando cosas que podríamos necesitar en nuestra boda.

Encontramos un Stand donde ofrecían botellas de tequila con etiquetas personalizadas, así que preguntamos al encargado, quien nos comento que todas las botellas de tequila eran únicas debido a que ellos creaban las botellas de tequila solo por la cantidad que requeríamos, ni más ni menos, la cosecha era única, así que compramos 2 cajas con 12 botellas cada una.

Revisando al lugar donde estaban las invitaciones, había un stand donde había mucha gente, así que caminamos hacia él y lo que encontramos era simplemente asombroso, un montón de hermosas e impresionantes tarjetas de invitación, encontramos un modelo que utilizaba una pequeña caja como contenedor, lo cual era muy original, así que nos enamoramos, así que preguntamos por el presupuesto para 25, para nuestra fortuna, ellos aceptaron la cantidad de tarjetas a hacer, ya que comúnmente no, solo hacen un mínimo de 50.

Mientras caminábamos por la expo, juntamos muchos panfletos, folletos, tarjetas personales, muestras y más, estábamos muy contentos.

Después de unas semanas, le informamos a nuestros amigos y familiares sobre nuestro gran día, así que recibimos muchas felicitaciones y buenos deseos, pero eso solo era el inicio de el gran viaje.

Una boda tradicional en México se compone por una ceremonia religiosa, una civil que consiste en la firma de ambas partes de un contrato y al final pero no al último la recepción. En nuestro caso, decidimos agregar una ceremonia extra la Ceremonia Maya, que es la forma en la cual los mayas se casaban hace muchos años atrás.

Para casarnos, necesitamos la aprobación de nuestro sacerdote local y antes de eso tomar un curso de Matrimonio impartido por la iglesia. De hecho, la Iglesia Católica, además pide ciertos documentos, estos documentos son La fe de bautismo, el certificado de la primera comunión y el comprobante de la confirmación los cuales son conocidos también como sacramentos. En mi caso, tengo la fe de bautismo y el certificado de la primera comunión, pero no el comprobante de la confirmación aun, así que tenía que encontrar una iglesia cristiana donde pudiera asistir a un curso rápido. Buscando en Google, encontré una Iglesia llamada "Nuestra Señora Aparecida del Brasil" que ofrecía un curso de una sesión para obtener el comprobante de la Eucaristía, así bien, levante el auricular del teléfono y marque el numero de la Iglesia para pedir informes. Entonces, la señorita al otro lado del teléfono contesto y me explico que la siguiente fecha para la confirmación seria el 16 de Junio y que las inscripciones ya estaban abiertas, así que aproveche y me anote en el curso. De hecho my prometida y yo también nos anotamos en el curso de Matrimonio de la parroquia cercana a donde vivía mi prometida.

Los días pasaron y mi prometida y yo con ayuda de nuestra asesora estuvimos realizando algunos arreglos y también asistiendo al curso de Matrimonio de la Iglesia. Tenemos todavía un largo camino por recorrer para nuestra boda.

El mes de Mayo llego y con él una de las Expos más importantes, por lo menos para nosotros, "La Expo Cásate en la Playa", así que asistimos para encontrar un fotógrafo hábil y creativo para nuestra boda y revisar con Yozelin algunas dudas. Caminando por la expo y revisando todos los stands encontramos lo que pensamos era un fotógrafo creativo y afortunadamente para nosotros el vivía en Cancún, así que, después de revisar a fondo su trabajo, decidimos contratar sus servicios, así que ya tenemos a nuestro fotógrafo.

Después de unos minutos nos encontramos con Yozelin para resolver algunas cuestiones y avisarle de nuestra visita a Cozumel para revisar el lugar de la boda, elegir el menú y el sabor del pastel para el gran día. Nuestra visita estaba planeada del 25 al 28 de Agosto, 2012, la cual fue patrocinada por Meliá Cozumel con un certificado de 3 noches de hospedaje totalmente gratuitas y un boleto de avión al 2x1 por Travel Pass de Banamex, por lo cual, no gastaremos mucho.

Después de algunas semanas, por fin llego el 16 de Junio y con el mi primer carrera de medio maratón y más tarde ese día la celebración de la confirmación, así que estaba muy emocionado. Me levante muy temprano y vestí con mi equipo para correr lo que sería mi primera media maratón junto a Mike uno de mis amigos. Por lo cual abandonamos nuestras casas y condujimos hacia CU (Ciudad Universitaria) para tomar el autobús que nos llevaría a la línea de salida. Desafortunadamente y debido a un terrible congestionamiento vial y lluvia no pudimos llegar a tiempo a la parada del autobús, llegamos demasiado tarde y ya no había autobuses, pero de pronto, de la nada, un autobús apareció para llevarnos al lugar de la competencia. No voy a escribir a detalle sobre este tema ya que publicare un post enteramente dedicado a eso, así que si desean saber si no terminamos o terminamos la carrera, léanlo aquí mas adelante en el blog.

Bueno, después de la carrera, tenía que asistir a mi confirmación en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora Aparecida del Brasil, por lo cual mi familia y al de mi prometida se reunieron conmigo ahí. Había mucha gente reunida para celebrar tan importante ceremonia religiosa, así que a las 18:00 hrs. comenzó la ceremonia y toda la gente tomo sus asientos, fue una larga ceremonia para mí ya que horas antes corrí una media maratón pero bueno, después de una hora y media, finalmente obtuve mi certificado de confirmación, por lo que todos mis familiares y amigos se fueron de la iglesia para terminar de celebrar en la casa de mi prometida con una deliciosa cena.

Unos días después, completamos nuestro curso de matrimonio y preparamos una especie de retiro espiritual, se planeó para el 15 de Julio. Recuerdo ese día, fue magnífico ya que cada hombre del grupo se reunió para llevar a cabo una clásica serenata mexicana para nuestras prometidas, así que, algunos tocaban ya sea la guitarra o el acordeón, mientras los demás, incluido yo, cantamos algunas canciones clásicas románticas. Al final del show, cada quien le dio a su prometida un regalo, en mi caso, yo le di un pequeño crucifijo que representaba mi fe en dios. Ese día terminamos nuestro retiro con convivio, había tortas de cochinita, arroz estilo mexicano, frijoles refritos, chicharrón en salsa verde, pollo con mole verde y otras cosas, todo estuvo delicioso.

Después de algunas semanas desde nuestro retiro espiritual llego el 25 de Agosto con nuestra visita a Cozumel para darle un vistazo al lugar de la boda, elegir el menú de la cena de recepción, el sabor del pastel de bodas y resolver algunos últimos arreglos con ayuda de nuestra organizadora de bodas, esta parte de nuestra aventura esta disponible en un post anterior llamado El Lugar de nuestra boda donde pueden revisar mas a detalle.

So much time has passed since our last post..

This time I'll write about our special song, maybe you know it, no, you must know it, our special song is sung by The Cranberries.

I heard it when we (my fiance and I) went to Cancun for a one week getaway, that song is not only a song is "The Song" and is special for me not by the meaning of it, or by the music or even not by the composer or the group. The Song is special for me because I heard it on a magical moment of my life, that moment was pretty amazing and exciting, was beautiful and breathtaking, was so romantic and charming and was the moment when I asked my fiance to marry me.

Hey mates, we have some news for you.

We are engaged, yes!!, we are excited about that, no more "girlfriend", just... "fiance". Jeje!.

What happend?, you will ask.

Can you remember our last vacations?. Well, before that, I bought a ring for my girlfriend and planned to ask her to marry with me on the beach, waiting for the sunset.

We arrived to Cancun on saturday 20 of March, 2010. That day after eating at 28 Market, we moved to our Hotel, on the way, I asked to my girlfriend about watch the sunset in the beach, she answered me with an affirmative sign, so we drove to "playa las perlas". When we arrived, the beach was almost alone, there were just a few couples, we walked to a far and peacefully place with a wooden dock, pretty houses and some nice background music playing.

We seated on the dock to talk in the middle of the peacefully sound of the waves breaking up over the sand, the wind was cool and the ambience turned magic, we were alone in that place watching the sunset, my girlfriend was distracted for a moment, I took advantage of the situation and standed up quickly from the dock, took out the ring box and I knelt on the sand. My girlfriend was took out from his distraction by my movements, then, I opened the ring box and said..

"I'm here over my knees not such your prince in blue. I'm here like a humble man asking you to be my wife".

The time was stopped for a moment and we were sorrounded by some kind of peace, there we were, she and me and no one else in whole world.

My girlfriend couldn´t believe it and then ask me..

- If is a joke?, she said.

- "No, it isn't", I answered with a serious hard face.

My response was accompanied with tears of my girlfriend and with some soft words from his mouth..

- That's a serious proposal?, she said.

- Of course, I answered to her.

The moment turned dramatic, because she was crying and I did the same, suddenly, the calm raised for a moment and a happy feeling, increased inside me.

- Yes!, I want to be your wife!, my girlfriend answered me.

I took out the ring from his box and put it on his finger, we kissed while the time started to go on...

Hey mates!!!.

We will get married!!!!.

Hola amigos, les tenemos buenas noticias.

Estamos comprometidos y estamos muy emocionados y contentos con esta decisión, así que ya no más "novia", ahora será "prometida".

¿Como sucedió?, se preguntarán.

¿Recordarán nuestras vacaciones? Bueno, antes de eso, compre un anillo para mi novia y planee pedirle matrimonio cuando estuviéramos de vacaciones en la playa contemplando el atardecer.

Llegamos a Cancún el 20 de Marzo del 2010. Ese día, después de comer en el mercado 28, regresábamos al Hotel, en el camino, le pregunte a mi novia si deseaba ver el atardecer en la playa, ella inmediatamente me dijo que si, entonces condujimos hasta "Playa las Perlas". Cuando llegamos, la playa casi estaba sola, solo había algunas parejas, caminamos a un lugar lejos del bullicio donde había un pequeño muelle de madera, unas casas hermosas y una agradable música de fondo.

Nos sentamos en el muelle para hablar en medio del sonido de las olas del mar rompiendo sobre la arena, el viento era agradable y el ambiente se torno mágico, estábamos solos admirando el atardecer, mi novia se distrajo por un momento, me aproveche de la situación y me levante rápidamente del muelle, saque la caja del anillo y me arrodille en la arena. Mi novia, al escuchar el movimiento volteo a verme, entonces yo abrí la caja del anillo y dije...

"Estoy aquí, a tus pies, no como tu príncipe azul, estoy aquí como un humilde hombre que te pide que seas su esposa".

En ese momento, el tiempo se detuvo y fuimos rodeados por algún tipo de paz. Allí estábamos, ella y yo y nadie mas en todo el mundo.

Mi novia no me creía y me pregunto...

- ¿Es una broma?, ella dijo.

- No lo es, respondí muy seriamente.

Mi respuesta fue seguida con lágrimas de mi novia y con algunas suaves palabras de su boca...

- ¿Es en serio?, ella dijo.

- Claro que lo es, yo respondí.

El momento se torno dramático, ya que ella estaba llorando y yo comencé ha hacer lo mismo, de pronto, la calma llego por un momento y un sentimiento de felicidad aumento en mi interior.

- ¡Si! Si quiero ser tu esposa!, mi novia contesto.

Tome el anillo de su caja y lo coloque en el dedo de mi novia, nos besamos mientras el tiempo continuaba...

Amigos...

Hey mates, we are here again after a week of vacations.

We have so much to tell you and we will star from the begining.

When I was born in 19... jeje, that's a joke..

After a few months of attend my degree seminary, finally the 13 of March, 2010 my course ended, god bless the queen of course jejee!!. Well, every begining has an end, and now was the end of that bloody seminary.

Hoo, I almost forget it, when you complete a task, you probably recieve a reward, and my reward was...

Vacations, where?, to Cancun, yessss, god bless the queen again, jejee.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Cancun one week from 20 to 27 of March, 2010.

Cancun unlike Cabo San Lucas (our last vacations) has white beaches with fine sand and green turquoise seas, too beautiful and has more hotels than Cabo.

Prices of goods and services in Cancun most are in pesos and we can see tourists using our domestic currency more than dollars, but each billboard, restaurant menus, description, instruction etc. is written in english and some has spanish translation.

People of Quintana Roo is very kind and gentile with some exceptions of course, but in general, attention from people was good.

Along our vacations we visit Chichen-Itza, Isla Mujeres, Tulum, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Xel-Ha, XCaret and Puerto Progreso in Merida (yes, we drive to Merida) after visit Chichen-Itza instead to swiming on Ik-kil cenote near Chichen, of course, I'm a cactus driving long distances.

On Isla Mujeres, we visited Ixel Ruins, builded on a cliff in the southern part of the island. When we were in track to those ruins, we realized that local people use scooters or golf carts to move around the island instead cars, we did the same and we rent a golf cart to move through the island at 20km/hr. bloody hell that is too fast for me, fasten your seat belts or use a helm. Before rent a golf cart, we hire a snorkel tour to the coral reef to watch, as always, just a few "colored" fishes.

Chichen-Itza (Religious Center) and Tulum (local market) were gorgeous, the admision was cheap. Chichen-Itza is between Quintana Roo and Merida and is sorrounded by many cenotes, each are a sanctuary to the local people. Tulum is located a few kilometers from Playa del Carmen and was builded over cliffs near the beach.

Our visit to Cozumel was "not as expected", because the guide hired to snorkel on the coral reef, offered a better service to foreign people than us, of course we didn't give him a dime of tip... that was the begining. Some hours later, we rent a scooter to move around the Island, bloody hell that little thing is alive, we almost meet the undertaker. After that spooky experience, we returned the scooter and missed our $300.00 pesos, well, after all we are live and writting a new post, jejee!!. So, we leave the island and commute to Playa del Carmen using a ferry, when we arrive, we walk along 5th Avenue and the white sands of the beach.

Xel-Ha and XCaret are not equal. XCaret is more like a zoo and is more artificial unlike Xel-Ha, plus XCaret has many live spectacles, all are good from an objetive view point. If you are planning to visit those parks looking to swimm on a cenote, don't try it. Because those parks doesn't have any kind of cenote, just some caves. We love Xel-Ha more than XCaret because has a natural environment, you can snorkel and watch many colored fishes for hours and eat any time you want it.

The last days before our departure, we stay in the hotel beach to swim on the sea. Yes mates, you can swim on the ocean, cause there are secure zones to do it. Later that day, we have a dinner at Buba Gump Restaurant but before, we went to Lapis (Famous jewerly brand in Cancun) to watch his jewerly collection, we bought a nice collar with the name of my girlfriend written in Maya.

Hey mates, those were our vacations, and of course, we need more days of vacations for our vacations, jejee. We still have more to tell you, but we will write about that on a later post.

Amigos, estamos de regreso después de una semana de vacaciones.

Tenemos mucho que contarles y comenzaremos desde el principio.

Cuando nací en 19... jeje! es solo una broma...

Después de algunos meses de asistir a mi seminario de titulación, finalmente el 13 de Marzo del 2010 terminé!!!, dios bendiga a la reina por supuesto, jeje!!, y bueno, después de todo cada principio tiene un final, solo que en esta ocasión le toco a mi querido seminario.

Casi lo olvido, cuando terminas alguna tarea, probablemente recibas una recompensa, y nuestra recompensa fue...

Vacaciones, donde?, en Cancún, siiii, dios bendiga de nuevo a la reina, jeje!!!.

Mi novia y yo nos quedamos en Cancún una semana, del 20 al 27 de Marzo, 2010.

Cancún a diferencia de Cabo San Lucas (Nuestras últimas vacaciones) tiene playas de arena blanca y fina y un mar color verde turquesa, muy bonito además de tener más hoteles que en Cabo San Lucas.

Los precios en Cancún, están la mayoría, en pesos mexicanos y podemos ver a los turistas utilizándolos mas que los dólares, eso sí, los anuncios, los menús en los restaurantes, algunas descripciones, instrucciones etc., están escritas en ingles y algunas tienen su traducción al español.

La gente de Quintana Roo es muy amable y gentil, claro como siempre hay excepciones, pero en general la atención de la gente fue buena.

En nuestras vacaciones visitamos Chichen Itzá, Isla Mujeres, Tulum, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, XelHa, Xcaret y Puerto Progreso en Mérida (Si, conducimos hasta Mérida) después de visitar Chichen Itzá en vez de nadar en el Cenote IK-Kil que está cerca de Chichen, por cierto, me declaro incompetente para manejar 

distancias largas.

En Isla Mujeres, visitamos las ruinas de Ixel, las cuales fueron construidas en un acantilado que está en la parte sur de la isla. Cuando estábamos en camino a las ruinas, nos dimos cuenta que la gente de la isla utiliza motonetas o carritos de golf para moverse en la isla en vez de automóviles, nosotros hicimos lo mismo, para lo cual rentamos un carrito de golf para conocer la isla a una velocidad de 20km/hr. demonios, eso es muy rápido para mi, abróchense los cinturones o usen un casco!!. Antes de rentar un carrito de golf, contratamos un tour para snorkelear en el arrecife de coral y admirar, como siempre, solo algunos peses de "colores".

Chichen-Itzá (Centro Religioso) y Tulum (Mercado) fueron grandiosos, la admisión a las zonas arqueológicas fue barata. Chichen-Itzá está entre Quintana Roo y Mérida y está rodeada de muchos cenotes, cada uno se considera un santuario para la gente local. Tulum se encuentra a algunos kilómetros desde Playa del Carmen y fue construida en un acantilado cerca de la playa.

Nuestra visita a Cozumel no fue "lo que esperábamos", ya que el guía que contratamos para esnorkelear en el arrecife de coral, atendía mejor a los extranjeros que a nosotros, por supuesto cuando pidió su propina, no le dimos ni las gracias!!!.. eso fue el principio. Algunas horas después, rentamos una motoneta para conocer la isla, demonios esa pequeña cosita sí que está viva, casi conocemos al sepulturero. Después de esa aterradora experiencia, regresamos la motoneta y perdimos nuestros $300 pesos de renta, bueno, si lo vemos por el lado positivo, seguimos con vida para seguir escribiendo este post, jeje!!!, así que, dejamos la Isla para visitar Playa del Carmen utilizando el Ferry, cuando llegamos caminamos por la Quinta Avenida y por las playas de arena blanca.

Xel-Ha e Xcaret no son lo mismo. Xcaret se parece más a un zoológico y es mas artificial que Xel-Ha, además, Xcaret tiene algunas representaciones, las cuales, viéndolas de un punto de vista objetivo, son muy buenas. Eso sí, si planean visitar estos parques buscando nadar en un cenote, no lo intenten, ya que estos parques no tienen nada que se le parezca, solo tiene algunas cuevas. En lo particular a nosotros nos gusto más Xel-Ha que Xcaret, ya que tiene un ambiente más natural, puedes esnorquelear y ver peses de colores por horas y comer las veces que lo desees.

Los últimos días, antes de nuestra partida, nos quedamos en la playa del hotel para nadar en el mar, Así es, se puede nadar en el mar ya que hay algunas zonas más seguras que otras. Ese día mas tarde, cenamos en un restaurant llamado Buba Gump, antes de eso, fuimos a Lapis (Una famosa joyería en Cancún) para mirar las piezas que tenían; compramos un bonito collar con el nombre de mi novia escrito en maya.

Y bueno amigos, esas fueron nuestras vacaciones, por supuesto, necesitaremos mas días de vacaciones para nuestras vacaciones, jeje!!. Todavía tenemos más cosas que contarles, pero de eso escribiremos más adelante en otro post.
