Run is an art and like any other one must work really tough to create a master piece, in this case to perform a perfect work between mind, body and soul...

Since November, one of my friends, who is Mike, and I have been involved on a couple of run competitions, which we have trained really hard in order to meet the final line, in spite of never being engaged into and having such a long period without doing exercise.

The first run that we enrolled was 13 km sponsored by "TV Azteca" the 21st of November 2011, the next one was 15 km on November 25, 2011 and it's sponsor was Nike and the last one was the 4th of December, 2011 with 5 km to go and was promoted by Nintendo.

Training to compete in the beginning was very tough. I remember my first workout, I ran over 8 km ending out with lot of pain on my legs, the next day was worst, because after training, I could not move my legs, thus, I could not go to work due to the pain.

The coming days were exciting because I could improve my pace and distance. I never imagine that I was capable for running over 11 kms roughly in just over 1 hr. Thus, my next goal was to keep my pace constant so as to tackle a serious competition.

After around a month of training, finally the 21st of November arrived with our first competition and 13 kms to beat. The competition was settled down around The CU Olympic Stadium, where 1986 Olympic Games were celebrated. The match started at 8:00 hrs aside the stadium and there were around 7000 people waiting for the starting shot. The first kilometers were easy and turned hard almost at the end, in the order of 11 and 12 km, where a long steeper slope claimed our very latest breath, in spite of that hard challenge we were able to complete the competition and was the beginning of our runners stage.

The next challenge was "We Run Mexico" by Nike with 10 and 15 km to go along Reforma Av. and Chapultepec woodlands. The battle to beat 15 km started over 21:00 hrs, departing from "La Diana Cazadora" fountain at Av. Paseo de la Reforma with nearly 20,000 people. This competition was not as tough as the first one because of the training and experience acquired. Despite that, there were a moment almost at the end of the run which I almost quit, but remembering my training and my attitude for never surrender I could pass that feeling over and run with all my strength and go through the final line.

The last run of the year was on December the 4th at Chapultepec 2nd. Section with 5 km, thus you will think that after ran 15 km, 5 seems to be an easy walk through the prairie, but was not like that because a day before we had our company's xmas party, therefore we were tired and sleepless, in spite of feeling really bad, we managed to complete the run, exhausted and almost dying but we did it.

We received medals from all the runs we completed and in some cases could check our photos reaching the final line with feedback about our performance.

Running was such an amazing experience which finally let me understand that one can do anything whether one really want it.

The next year (2012) I wish to engage into a half maratón run I know that I can do it, wish me luck.

Correr es un arte y como cualquier otro, uno necesita trabajar muy duro para crear una obra maestra, en este caso, realizar un perfecto trabajo entre mente, cuerpo y alma.

Desde Noviembre, uno de mis compañeros, Quien es Mike, y yo, hemos estado involucrados en un par de carreras, para las cuales hemos entrenado muy duro para lograr llegar a la meta. A pesar de nunca haber participado en una competencia y tener un largo periodo sin hacer ejercicio.

La primer carrera a la que me inscribí fue a la de TV Azteca el 21 de Noviembre 2011 con 13 km., la siguiente fue de 15 km el 25 Noviembre 2011 patrocinada por Nike. Y por ultimo, el 4 de Diciembre 2011 fue la ultima, con 5 km para recorrer y fue promovida por Nintendo.

El entrenamiento para competir en un principio fue muy duro. Recuerdo mi primer ejercicio, corrí mas de 8 km terminando con mucho dolor en las piernas, el día siguiente fue peor, ya que después de entrenar no podía mover las piernas, así que ese día no fui a trabajar por el dolor.

Los días siguientes fueron muy excitantes porque pude mejorar mi paso y distancia. Nunca me imagine que podía correr mas de 11 km aproximadamente en un poco mas de 1 hr. Así que mi siguiente reto fue mantener mi paso constante con el fin de poder participar en una competencia mas seria.

Después de un mes de entrenamiento, finalmente el 21 de Noviembre llago con nuestra primer competencia y 13 km por vencer. La competencia se realizo en los alrededores del Estadio Olímpico de CU, donde se llevaron acabo los Juegos Olímpicos de 1986. La competencia inicio a las 8:00 hrs. a un lado del estadio y había mas o menos 7000 personas esperando el disparo de salida. Los primeros kilómetros fueron fáciles y se volvieron mas difíciles casi al final, entre el kilometro 11 y 12 donde una pendiente muy pronunciada reclamo nuestro ultimo aliento, a pesar de ese duro reto fuimos capases de terminar la competencia y fue el inicio de nuestra etapa como corredores.

El siguiente reto fue "We Run Mexico" por Nike con 10 y 15 km alrededor de la Av. Paseo de la Reforma y el Bosque de Chapultepec. La batalla por 15 km inicio después de las 21:00 hrs, partiendo de la Fuente de La Diana Cazadora en Av. Paseo de la Reforma con aproximadamente 20,000 personas. La competencia no fue tan dura como la primera por el entrenamiento y la experiencia adquiridos. A pesar de eso, hubo un momento casi al final de la carrera en el que casi la dejo, pero recordando mi entrenamiento y la actitud por nunca rendirse pude dejar ese sentimiento atrás y correr con todas mis fuerzas y pasar por la linea de meta.

La ultima competencia del año fue el 4 de Diciembre en la segunda sección de Chapultepec con 5 kilómetros, así que ustedes pensaran que después de haber corrido 15 kilómetros 5 parecen como una caminata por la pradera, pero no fue así ya que un día antes tuvimos la celebración de navidad de la compañía, por lo tanto, estuvimos cansados y desvelados, a pesar de sentirnos muy mal, nos las arreglamos para terminar la carrera, cansados y casi muriendo pero lo hicimos.

Recibimos medallas de todas las carreras que terminamos y en algunos casos pudimos revisar nuestras fotos cruzando la meta con información sobre nuestro desempeño durante la carrera.

Correr fue una experiencia asombrosa la cual finalmente me dejo entender que uno puede hacer lo que desea si realmente lo quieres.

El siguiente año (2012), deseo entrar a una carrera de medio maratón, se que puedo hacerlo, deseenme suerte.

This time I am writing about our last adventure.

Living on my own was not as easy as I though, and is harder when you are alone in a little cold flat.

Most of you, who are reading this, would like to ask, why you move?. Well, I move because of my girlfriend, tackling some tough situations she is right now and living close to her was an option for me to help her on what she needs in addition to do something that I ought to do a long time ago.

Before moving to my current flat, I was living with my parents in the north of the city outskirts on a quiet and peaceful neigborhood. My shores were only to clean and tidy my room, wash the dishes that I use, work and lend my mom some pesos, that was all.

So, moving alone was not easy, life changes and new situations are always followed with afraid, in spite of that one must do what one is ought to do, you know what I mean, don't you?.

Afraid to face new situations has been and will be always a problem for most of us. Even though, whether you think at all hard situations you have tackled along your life, you will realize that always there were either an answer or a solution to your problems, so why you should be worried about a battle that you has won already, I know that sounds ridiculous, but think about it, there is always a solution.

So then, I had to face my fears about moving, so I got courage and I did it. Three months has passed since I move and nothing terrible happened, no earthquakes, no tornados neither monsters nor strange creatures, nothing to be afraid of, just the fear itself.

Currently I have more responsabilities because if I do not wash my clothes or do the shopping nobody will do it instead of me, I am responsible for myself. Fortunelly I have such a lovely girlfriend who kindly help me to cook my everyday lunch, good bless her. Indeed, she is teaching me how to cook, actually I can make a soup with tomato souce.

Experiencing new situations quite exciting is, and living by yourself let you know whether you are ready to face those daily life challenges. For us, whom are moving abroad is like a preparation to experience which challenges will tackle when we were living in another continent.

Finally, we must not be afraid of challenging new experiences, there is a fine line, and when you cross it, nothing terrible will happen. In fact, you will be hungry to experience new situations.

Ahora les escribiré sobre nuestra ultima aventura.

Vivir por mi cuenta no fue una decisión fácil como yo pensaba y es mas duro cuando estas solo en un pequeño y frío apartamento.

A lo mejor algunos se preguntan. ¿Porque te mudaste?. Bueno, me mude ya que mi novia esta pasando por una difícil situación y vivir cerca de donde ella fue una opción para mi y así poder ayudarle en lo posible, además de hacer algo que debía hacer desde hace tiempo.

Antes de mudarme a mi actual apartamento, yo vivía con mis padres al norte de las afueras de la ciudad, en un vecindario callado y tranquilo. Mis deberes era arreglar y limpiar mi cuarto, lavar la losa, trabajar y darle a mi Mamá un poco de dinero.

Así que mudarme no fue fácil, los cambios y nuevas experiencias siempre están acompañadas por miedo, a pesar de eso uno debe hacer lo que debe hacer, saben lo que quiero decir, ¿cierto?

El miedo a enfrentar nuevas situaciones ha sido y será siempre un problema para la mayoría de nosotros. Aunque, si piensas en todas las situaciones difíciles a las que te haz enfrentado, te darás cuenta que siempre hubo, ya sea, una respuesta o solución a tus problemas, así que porque deberías estar preocupado por una batalla que ya has ganado, se que suena ridículo pero piénsalo, siempre hay una solución.

Bien, tenia que enfrentar mis miedos a mudarme, así que me arme de valor y lo hice. Tres meses han pasado desde que me mude y nada terrible ha sucedido, ni terremotos, ni tornados, tampoco monstruos o extrañas creaturas, nada por que tener miedo, solo al miedo mismo.

Actualmente tengo mas responsabilidades ya que si no lavo mi ropa o voy de compras al súper nadie lo hará por mi, yo soy responsable de mi mismo. Afortunadamente tengo una novia tan amorosa que amablemente me ayuda cocinando mi comida de todos los días, que dios la bendiga. De hecho, ella me enseña como cocinar, en realidad ya puedo hacer una sopa con salsa de tomate.

Vivir nuevas situaciones muy excitante es y vivir por ti mismo te hace saber si realmente estas preparado para enfrentar los retos de la vida diaria. Para nosotros, quienes nos mudaremos a otro país es como una preparación para experimentar las situaciones a las que nos enfrentemos cuando vivamos en otro continente.

Finalmente, no debemos de tener miedo a vivir nuevas experiencias, hay una pequeña línea y cuando la cruzas nada terrible pasará. De hecho, estarás ansioso por experimentar nuevas situaciones.

Howdy mates!, we are back on the blog.

As you could have knew, we have been a little busy with some arrangements and unpleasant situations, which we are going to describe briefly. So, let's start with it.

A few months ago, my fiance and myself decided to live together, so we bought some furniture to start with our new life, but before starting with it, we agreed to spend a week on vacations, this time in Nayarit on Nuevo Vallarta. We visited and enjoyed the nearest and famous Puerto Vallarta but could not walk along The Malecon because it was almost destroyed by the last hurricane, also we went to some other spots nerby like Guayabitos, Chino's Paradise, Punta de Mita and it's surroundings, indeed, we drive to San Blas in Sinaloa despite it was a little far from our accomodation.

We were returning from our tired vacations and all was going good, but unfortunately, at just one week from our arriving, my fiance's dad dies suddenly, it was really astonishing because nobody thought that something like that would happen so early. The funeral was terrible for all, I have been on many funerals, but it was the worst ever, I could not face my fiance's pain, I do not deserve that situation neither to my worst enemy.

Being the older of their siblings and because the recent events, my fiance's changed her mind in spite of our plans, which were postponed because she ought to look after her mother and little brother.

Feeling the pain of my fiance's, I continued with our moving plans so as to be near her, so I rented a flat close to her house, where I am living now since 3 weeks ago.

Letting back such terrible news. I approved The PET Assesment by Cambridge, despite I could not complete the writing excercises properly, I ran out of time. I am just waiting my Cambridge certificate that will arrive to The Anglo Centre where I am attending classes.

It was a brief resume of the latest events occurred since 4 months ago, that by the way, have been the hardest till now.

Hola amigos, estamos de regreso.

Como pudieron saber, hemos estado ocupados con algunas cuestiones y situaciones no gratas, las cuales les describiremos muy brevemente, así que comencemos

Hace algunos meses mi novia y yo decidimos vivir juntos, así que compramos algunos muebles para iniciar nuestra nueva vida, pero antes acordamos tomar unas vacaciones en Nayarit, en Nuevo Vallarta. Visitamos y disfrutamos del famoso Puerto Vallarta aunque no pudimos caminar por el malecón, el cual, casi había sido destruido por el ultimo huracán, también visitamos algunos otros sitios de interés como Guayabitos, Chino's Paradise, Punta de Mita y sus alrededores. De hecho visitamos San Blas en Sinaloa a pesar de que estaba un poco retirado de nuestro alojamiento.

Regresábamos de nuestras cansadas vacaciones y todo marchaba bien, pero desafortunadamente a solo una semana de nuestro regreso, el papá de mi novia muere de forma repentina, fue realmente sorprendente ya que nadie pensó que esto sucedería tan pronto. El funeral fue terrible para todos, he estado en muchos funerales, pero este fue el pero de todos, no pude soportar el sufrimiento de mi novia, no le deseo la misma situación ni a mi peor enemigo.

Siendo la mayor de sus hermanos y debido a los recientes acontecimientos, mi novia cambio de parecer a pesar de que ya teníamos nuestros planes, los cuales se pospusieron ya que ella tiene que cuidar a su hermano pequeño y a su mamá.

Sintiendo el dolor que aqueja a mi novia, yo continúe con los planes de la mudanza para estar cerca de ella, así que rente un piso cerca de su casa, donde yo llevo viviendo alrededor de 3 semanas.

Dejando atrás las terribles noticias. Aprobé mi examen de Certificación PET de Cambridge, a pesar de que no pude completar los ejercicios de writing de forma satisfactoria, ya que se me termino el tiempo. Solo estoy esperando por mi certificado que llegara al Anglo donde estoy tomando clases.

Ese fue un breve resumen de los últimos eventos ocurridos desde hace 4 meses, que por cierto, han sido los más pesados hasta ahora.

This time we are going to write a little bit about IELTS exam..

As you know, most of us, who decided move to a country where English is the most spoken language, must tackle this exam as a mandatory requirement for the DIAC in order to get an australian visa.

To pass the exam, you must achieve at least of 6.0 on each band (Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading), I know it seems to be hard, in spite of being Spanish speaking natives, even though I think is harder to have no knowledge about how the exam will be.

Fortunelly, we have internet and many resources to improve and polish our english skills, despite having almost unlimited sources to study, find quality study material is tough, that is why we share this with you.

Hola amigos...

Esta vez escribiremos un poco acerca del examen IELTS.

Como ya saben, la mayoría de nosotros, quienes hemos decidido migrara a un país donde el idioma mas hablado es Ingles, debemos realizar este examen como un requerimiento obligatorio para el DIAC y así obtener una visa Australiana.

Para acreditar el examen, debes de obtener, al menos 6.0 en cada una de las bandas del examen (Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading), Se que parece difícil, sobre todo por el hecho de hablar solo español, Aunque yo pienso que es mas difícil no tener idea de como será el examen.

Por fortuna, tenemos Internet y muchísima información para mejorar y pulir nuestras habilidades en el idioma Ingles, a pesar de tener casi recursos ilimitados de estudio, encontrar material de calidad es muy duro, es por esta situación que compartimos este material con ustedes.

Hi fellas, sheilas.

We have not written something new since some time ago, there are lot of reasons, which could not let us post new things in our blog.

The last months have been the hardest ever by the fact, that we had some misunderstandings which involves our relationship, our goals, and our dreams. We tackled depression, sadness, fear and soreness too, but in spite of that, we faced the problem with positive results.

I don't know whether all of you dear fellas, whom are in the process of migration, had tackled this kind of situations, let me know if I am not right. However, my mind is working so fast, that I almost cannot think clearly, but I have feelings which made us realize that it is time for some changes.

As you know, my fiancé got her degree, which we are still waiting for.

But with the recent and future movements to the SOL, we are afraid. Indeed, we are worried about those close changes to Australia Immigration Policies and Points Test, we do not want to make a wrong decision, however, we think that we must wait.

Please mates, whether you have experienced this feelings, write us about, advices and comments are welcome.

Hola amigos.

Hace algún tiempo que no hemos escrito en nuestro blog, hay muchas razones, las cuales no nos han dejado publicar en nuestro blog.

Estos últimos meses han sido los mas difíciles, ya que hemos tenido algunos mal entendidos con respecto a nuestra relación, nuestras metas y sueños. Hemos enfrentado depresión, tristeza miedo y dolor, pero a pesar de eso, hemos salido adelante.

No se si ustedes amigos, quienes están en el proceso de migrar, han tenido este tipo de situaciones, espero no estar equivocado. De cualquier forma, mi mente esta pensando muchísimas cosas que casi no puedo pensar con claridad ya que tengo un sentimiento que me hace darme cuenta que es tiempo para cambiar.

Como saben, mi novia consiguió su titulo, el cual continuamos esperando.

Pero con los cambios recientes y futuros a la SOL, estamos asustados. De hecho estamos preocupados por los próximos cambios en las Políticas de Inmigración Australiana y el Test de Puntos, no queremos tomar una decisión equivocada, sin embargo, pensamos que hay que esperar.

Amigos, si han experimentado estos sentimientos, por favor escribanos acerca de eso, comentarios y consejos son bienvenidos.

Dear fellas and sheilas.

Yesterday morning was one of the best days of my life.

Why?, you would wonder.

Well, lets start with the tale..

Once upon a time, jejee!! I am just kidding.

Yesterday at 9:00 hrs. in FES Aragon College, my fiance who is a graduate, finally, attended her professional exam to get her bachelor degree in Computer Sciences.

She prepared a presentation to expose her thesis work, which was about Distribuited Computing Systems. I must say that she owns the right skills to perform an excellent presentation, so, she made an outstanding work and seemed very confident, in spite of being a little nervous.

Her presentations ran for about 30 minutes, proceeded by a questions session, which were made by some teachers who belongs to The College Council, she answered the questions as well as she could.

After question session, we left the small room, allowing college council make a desition.

The College Council called us after they have made a desition, so, we enter into the room and waited for the resolution....

"You has been approved, congratulations!" The College Council confirmed.

I felt so happy about her, because at last, she had completed another phase on her life. All her effort, time and knowledge, has been concluded on success.

Honey, whether you read this post I want to say you, thanks. I could not continue with my thesis, however you continued with it, you made one of my dreams came true, thank you very much.

Mates, as you can see, I am still improving my english skills. Therefore, whether you find any mistake, you are totally allowed to correct me, thanks.

Queridos seguidores.

El día de ayer por la mañana fue uno de los mejores días de mi vida.

Ustedes podrían preguntarse ¿Por que?.

Bueno, demos comienzo a la historia.

Había una vez, esperen, solo estoy bromeando.

Ayer a las 9:00 hrs. en la FES Aragón, mi prometida, la que termino la universidad, por fin se presento a su examen profesional para obtener su titulo de Ing. en Computación.

Ella realizo una presentación para exponer su trabajo de tesis, el cual consiste en Sistemas Distribuidos. Debo comentar que ella posee las habilidades correctas para estos tipos de trabajo, así que realizo una excelente presentación, se veía confiada en lo que decía, a pesar de estar nerviosa.

Su presentación duro alrededor de 30 min., precedido de la clásica sesión de preguntas y respuestas, las cuales fueron realizadas por los sinodales de la universidad, ella respondió las preguntas lo mejor que pudo.

Después de dicha sesión, todos abandonamos la sala para que los sinodales tomaran una decisión.

Los sinodales nos llamaron, después de tomar una decisión, axial que entramos y esperamos por la respuesta del consejo...

"Usted ha sido aprobada, felicitaciones!", el consejo confirmo.

Yo me sentí muy feliz por ella, ya que por fin, concluyo otra fase en su vida. Su esfuerzo, tiempo y aprendizaje han concluido con éxito.

Amor, si lees esto quisiera decirte, Gracias!!. Yo no pude continuar con mi tesis, sin embargo tu continuaste con mi trabajo e hiciste realidad uno de mis sueños, muchas gracias.

Compañeros, como pueden darse cuenta, sigo mejorando mis habilidades con el Ingles. Si llegaran a encontrar algún error, pueden corregirme, gracias.

Arguing with cab drivers! / ¡Discutiendo con los taxistas!

Cab Driver: Where do I could take you?

Me: Polanco please.

Cab Driver: Hoo, I am so sorry, I need to deliver the cab to his owner before 9:00 hrs.

Me: Excuse me!!

Cab Driver: I am out of time to take you there, I am so ashamed.

Me: So. Why are you on service?. Why are you taking me, if you are not working?. Do you know that I can report you, don't you? .

Cab Driver: It is not possible to me, taking you there mate.

Me: You are on service, so, you must take me there, it is mandatory.

Cab Driver: Sorry mate, I can't.

Me: Alas!, I will not waste my time arguing with you, just let me here, ok!!, thanks for nothing....

We had this argument with a taxi driver a few weeks ago. Arguments of this kind are very common in our city which is Mexico City.

Here as other countries, you can pick up a taxi either, along streets or at special spots, which we name "Sitio".

Taxis in our country are cheaper if we compare it with other countries, such Australia. Also, there are many units transiting the streets, so, almost anyone are able to use it.

But what happens when you board a taxi and the operator do not want to take you to your destination?, believe me, is so frustrating and even more when you are late.

That kind of situations are more often when the driver is not a young man, which means that from 5 cars driven by old men, just 1 take you to your destination, in contrast with cabs driven by young men that in numbers means an 85% doing their duties.

Fortunately we have a solution or maybe a part of it which is report them to CETRAVI. We have reported already a few ones the last month, We wish they got a fine.

Finally, we believe that Taxi Services in our country are quiet good, whether we exclude a few undesirable situations like the one we have commented in this post.

Yo: A Polanco por favor.

Taxista: Mmm, lo siento mucho, necesito entregar el taxi a su dueño antes de las 9:00 hrs.

Yo: Perdone!!!

Taxista: No tengo tiempo para llevarlo, estoy muy apenado.

Yo: Entonces, ¿porque esta en servicio?, ¿Porque me lleva si no esta trabajando?, ¿Sabe usted que lo puedo reportar, no?.

Taxista: Lo siento amigo, no puedo llevarlo.

Yo: Usted esta en servicio, es su deber u obligación llevarme.

Taxista: Lo siento, no puedo.

Yo: Lo que me faltaba, dios mío!!, No desperdiciare mi tiempo en discutir con usted, solo déjeme aquí ok!!, gracias por nada!!!.

Tuvimos esta discusión con un taxista hace algunas semanas. Este tipo de discusiones son muy comunes en nuestra ciudad la cual es México D.F.

Aquí como en otros países, puedes abordar un taxi ya sea en las calles o en lugares especiales, los cuales llamamos "Sitio".

El servicio de taxis en nuestro país es barato si lo comparamos con otros países, como Australia. Además, hay muchas unidades transitando las calles, así que casi cualquiera puede usarlas.

¿Pero que sucede cuando abordas un taxi y el operador no quiere llevarte a tu destino?, créanme, es muy frustrante y mas cuando ya se te hizo tarde.

Este tipo de situaciones son mas frecuentes cuando el operador del taxi es un hombre de edad avanzada, lo cual quiere decir que de 5 taxis conducidos por hombres de edad avanzada solo 1 te lleva a tu destino, en contraste con las unidades manejadas por hombres no tan mayores, de los cuales el 85% hace sus deberes.

Afortunadamente tenemos una solución o por lo menos una parte de ella la cual es reportarlos con la CETRAVI. Ya hemos reportado a algunos el ultimo mes, esperamos que los multen.

Finalmente, creemos que los servicios de taxi en nuestro país son un buenos, si excluimos algunas situaciones indeseables como la que les contamos en este post.

Hi mates, this time we are writing a bit more about Melbourne which is our best choice to start the most newly adventure of our lives.

Melbourne belongs to the Victoria State and it is the second most important city of whole Australia after Sydney. It was The Australia Capital between 1901 and 1927 before Canberra was built.

Melbourne is settled around Yarra River and the shores of Port Phillip Bay, it has about 18% of whole Australia population which is about 22 million souls and has a total territory surface of 17,153 square kilometers.

Melbourne was established as a pastoral zone by free settlers in 1835, just 47 years after the first European settlement in Australia and was transformed pretty fast into one of the major metropolis of Victoria by the Gold Rush of 1850.

Nowadays, Melbourne is an important commercial centre, industrial and cultural, it was elected many times as one of the top cities with highest life quality in the whole world.

Melbourne is an icon for sports and cultural activities of Australia and is host of major national and international sport activities as 1956 Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games of 2006.

Mostly known as "The Four Seasons City", Melbourne is a landmark for its contemporary and victorian architecture, its greatest concentration of research and technology universities, its extensive network of trams, victorian gardens and parks as well as its diverse and multicultural society, all make Melbourne the most wonderful of experiences.

This lively, cultural and cosmopolitan city makes anyone fall in love with its creative arts places, restaurants, live music, wine and football it is a city like no other.

The most important spot of Melbourne is its CBD (Central Business District), which is tidy and has a balanced gird of neatly angled streets. Located on the the northern bank of the Yarra River is the administrative centre of the city, you can find some skyscrapers and some large companies as the corporate headquarters of two of the world's largest mining companies: BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto, a large gaming and entertainment company: Tabcorp, the largest communications corporation: Telstra and the largest transport company known as Toll. The Central Business Centre is not only home of corporations or office buildings you can look-around some important buildings like Federation Square, The State Library of Victoria, Melbourne Immigration Museum, St Pauls Cathedral, Chinatown and the Queen Victoria Market.

To move around Melbourne you have multiple choices like:

- Trains

- Trams

- Buses

- Taxis

- Ferries

- Subway

Trains:

Melbourne has a user-friendly rail system that can take you to almost any place. Metropolitan trains begin or end their journey at Flinders Street Station, located at the corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets, while Southern Cross Station is the hub for regional and interstate trains, and it is settled at the corner of Collins St. and Spencer St.

To use the rail system you must use a card known as Metacard which is on sale by Metlink at www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au/, also you can use this card in trams and buses. if you fail showing a valid Metacard to the inspector, you will pay a fine.

Fares are based on time and distance, with metropolitan Melbourne divided into two zones. Ensure you have a valid ticket.

Trams:

It is the best way to look-around the city and inner suburbs because it provide a scenic way to explore it.

Passengers can board trams at signposted stops displaying maps, route numbers and a timetable. Route numbers are also displayed on the front of the tram.

You can use City Circle Trams that provide convenient travel to city sights and attractions using an automated commentary announcing points of interest along the route. This service is Running along Flinders Street, Harbour Esplanade, Docklands Drive, La Trobe Street and Spring Street, a complete journey takes around an hour.

Buses:

Melbourne's bus network is made up of over 300 routes. Buses run frequently to major hubs, including shopping centres, schools, hospitals, leisure and sporting activities, and Melbourne's biggest attractions, to use the service you must provide a valid Metacard.

After midnight there is a special bus named NightRider, it offers travels from the city to the suburbs in the early hours, departing Swanston Street (between Collins and Flinders streets) every 30 minutes. Normal Metcard fares apply.

Taxis:

Melbourne cabs are numerous and easy to spot, they are all uniformly yellow. As well, drivers must always wear a neat uniform and have an identity card on show at all times.

Cabs often wait in designated ranks that are clearly signposted at central locations like major hotels in the CBD, or busy spots such as Flinders Train Station. You can also hail a taxi in the street, if the rooftop light is illuminated, it means the taxi is available for hire or book a taxi by telephone. Outside Melbourne, taxis widely operate in Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo, with additional cabs at country towns throughout the rest of the state.

Melbourne has recently launched a number of "Taxi Totems" around the city and in some regional centres, which will be lit on to make easier hailing a cab and for cabs to notice you. The totems will feature your location name and the nearest cross street, a list of local taxi services and booking numbers including numbers for wheelchair accessible taxis and connections to train, tram and bus services where relevant.

Taxi meters are usually clearly visible, so you can keep check of your fare. Late night taxi trips must be paid for in advance and between 10pm and 5am in Victoria, the driver will ask you for an up-front deposit, based on a table of point to point estimates. Melbourne cabs attract additional charges like a late night surcharge from midnight to 5am, a fee for phone bookings, a fee for using the Citylink freeway and even a fee for taxis waiting at the airport rank.

Ferries:

Regular ferry services from Southbank along the Yarra River and around the bay to Williamstown are a scenic and convenient way to travel. Take the kids on a ride across the water to Scienceworks or go twenty minutes further on to Williamstown and spend a day at the beach.

The City Loop:

It is Melbourne's underground system, and it is called like that because its route is similar to a big toroid, it has five stations servicing the CBD: Southern Cross Station, Flagstaff, Melbourne Central, Parliament and Flinders Street (Flagstaff does not operate on weekends).

There are many ways to experience Melbourne, like enjoying its attractions and outdoor activities, even though that is a major city, it is so alluring that seems to be alive, because there are many places to visit and lots of activities to do, like:

Shopping:

Shopping at Melbourne is a unique experience. You will find from locally-designed originals to the best of international brands at the main city's myriad arcades and lane-ways.

Variety and energy is the best characteristic of a city like Melbourne. Nightclubs, pubs, jazz and rock concerts can be enjoyed in the main regional centers. Melbourne features an ever-changing number of clubs and bars and some live music venues, as well as theaters and cinemas.

Sports:

Melbourne is madness of sports and is proud of it. From the crack of the bat to the roar of the engine, the city is a prime playing field throughout the year, cricket is not only the major attraction here.

Hola amigos, ahora escribiremos un poco mas acerca de Melbourne la cual es nuestra mejor opción para iniciar la mas reciente aventura de nuestras vidas.

Melbourne pertenece al estado de Victoria y es la segunda ciudad mas importante de Australia después de Sydney. Fue la capital de Australia entre 1901 y 1927 antes de que Canberra fuera construida.

Melbourne esta situada alrededor del Río Yarra y en la costas de la Bahía Port Phillip, tiene alrededor del 18% de la población de toda Australia la cual es de alrededor de 22 millones de almas y tiene una superficie de 17,153 kilómetros cuadrados.

Melbourne fue fundada como una zona pastoral por los colonos libres en 1835, solo 47 años después de la llegada de los primeros pobladores a Australia y fue transformada rápidamente en la ciudad mas grande del estado de Victoria a causa de la fiebre de oro del año 1850.

En la actualidad, Melbourne es un importante centro comercial, industrial y cultural, fue elegido muchas veces como una de las mejores ciudades con la mejor calidad de vida en todo el mundo.

El CBD no solo es un centro de negocios, puedes encontrar edificios importantes como Federation Square, la librería del estado, el museo de migración de Melbourne, la catedral de San Paul, el barrio chino y el Mercado de la Reina Victoria.

Para visitar Melbourne se tienen múltiples opciones como:

Trenes:

Melbourne tiene un sistema de trenes muy fácil de usar el cual lo puede llevar a casi cualquier lugar. Los trenes metropolitanos comienzan y terminan sus viajes en la Estación de Trenes de la calle Flinders la cual se ubica en la esquina de las calles de Flinders y Swanston, mientras que la Estación de Trenes Southern Cross es utilizad para viajes regionales e inter-estatales, la cual se ubica en la esquina de la calle Collins y Spencer.

Para utilizar los trenes se debe adquirir una tarjeta llamada Metacard, la cual es vendida por MetaLink at www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au/, también se puede utilizar esta tarjeta en tranvías y autobuses si su tarjeta no es valida. Si al mostrar su tarjeta al inspector, esta no es valida, se tendrá que pagar una multa.

Las tarifas están basadas en tiempo y distancia ya que el área metropolitana de Melbourne se encuentra dividida en dos zonas. Asegúrese de tener un boleto valido.

Tranvías:

Esta es la mejor manera para echarle un vistazo a la ciudad y los suburbios, ya que provee de una panorámica excelente para explorarla.

Los autobuses muy frecuentemente inician sus servicios desde las estaciones principales, los centro comerciales, escuelas, hospitales, lugares de actividades recreaciones y las atracciones principales de Melbourne, para utilizar los servicios, es necesario que tenga una tarjeta Metacard valida.

Después de la media noche hay un servicio especial llamado NightRider, este ofrece viajes desde la ciudad hasta los suburbios a horas de madrugada, iniciado desde la calle Swanston (entre la calle Collins y Flinders) cada 30 minutos. Se aceptan tarjetas normales Metacard para este servicio.

Taxis:

Everyone have started a new year, everyone have achieved their dreams, resolutions, task, duties or whatever, some have not concluded yet or were modified or were not started so on, but the importance of trying achieve your resolutions is learn, understand and set-up another way to get success and finally, never surrender.

When a year begins, most people around the world ponders about their resolutions, those completed, the new ones and also, they think another way to achieve those uncompleted. This period of time is known by us as "Annual Balance".

2010 was such a great year for us, we concluded with some projects and have started with new ones.

2011 like 2010, will be a year full of surprises, resolutions, hard decisions, new challenges, new hopes and lot of dreams.

The last year...

• I concluded my degree seminary.
• We started attending at our english courses.
• My fiance got her DB2 Fundamentals Certification.
• I got my Degree.
• And the last one but the most important, I asked my girlfriend to marry me.
• And she answered YES!!!!..

For this 2011 we have to..

• My fiance is going to have her professional exam to get her degree.
• I am going to meet the PET (Preliminary English Test) Certification Exam.
• My fiance will start a new project at her work, it involves a Mainframe Administration.
• We having our first godson.
• We are going to make plans for our wedding.
• We have taken a hard decision but we think it is the best for us, We decided to wait with our migration plan to Australia till mid of 2012 when I will be 32 years old if nothing changes with DIAC migration policies.

Then, we have a lot of work to do along this new year, so..

Todos han iniciado un nuevo año, todos han concluido sus sueños, propósitos, tareas, deberes o lo que sea, algunas no han sido concluidas todavía o fueron modificadas o no fueron iniciadas etc., lo importante de intentar concluir nuestros propósitos es aprender, entender y establecer otra forma de llegar a completarlos y finalmente no rendirse nunca.

Cuando un año inicia, la mayoría de la gente alrededor del mundo medita sobre sus propósitos, los completados, los nuevos y también piensan otra forma para lograr los que no fueron completados. Este periodo nosotros lo conocemos como "Balance Anual".

El 2010 fue un gran año para nosotros, completamos algunos proyectos e iniciamos con otros.

El 2011 al igual que el 2010 será un año lleno de sorpresas, propósitos, decisiones difíciles, nuevos retos, nuevas esperanzas y muchos sueños.

El año pasado…

• Termine mi Seminario de Titulación.
• Iniciamos con nuestros cursos de Ingles.
• Mi prometida obtuvo su certificado de Fundamentos de DB2.
• Obtuve mi Titulo
• Y el ultimo y mas importante, Le propuse matrimonio a mi novia..
• Y ella dijo que SI!!!…

Para este año tenemos..

• Mi novia tendrá su examen profesional para conseguir su titulo.
• Voy a realizar el Examen de Certificación PET (Preliminary English Test).
• Mi prometida comenzara un nuevo proyecto en su trabajo, el cual tiene que ver con Administración de Mainframes.
• Tenemos a nuestra primer ahijada.
• Haremos planes para nuestra boda.
• Hemos tomado una decisión difícil pero pensamos que es lo mejor para nosotros. Hemos pospuesto nuestro plan de migración a Australia hasta mediados del 2012 cuando tensa 32 años si es que nada cambia con las políticas de migración del DIAC.

Así que tenemos mucho que hacer para este año, así que..

The Traditional "Rosca de Reyes" / La Tradicional Rosca de Reyes

We write this post to explain one of many Mexican traditions we have, we hope you would enjoy it.

"Rosca de Reyes" it is a bun made of sweet dough and toroid shaped decorated with fruit dried, crystallized or confited, this bun is eaten in Spain on January the 5th of each year, day known by the locals as "Dia de Reyes".

This bun is served in other hispanic countries like Mexico or Argentina as a Spanish influence, also this bun is eaten in Portugal. It is common eating it with a hot chocolate cup, either at breakfast or supper. The dough used to make the bun is aromatized with azahar water which add a tasty and characteristic smell.

The origins of this bun has not anything related with the arrival of the wizards to Belen to dote Jesus, but apparently it is associated to some Roman celebrations, although nowadays this tradition is directly linked-up with the complementary and edible representation of The Advent Crown. These celebrations were dedicated to The Saturn God, commemorating winter solstice, to ring in it, people elaborated some round buns covered with figs, dates and honey that were shared with commoners and slaves. At III century, inside the bun was included for first time, a dried bean and the lucky one that find it was appointed King of Kings for about a short period of time.

Some variants of the traditional Spanish bun would come by direct influence of French or Spanish pastry. Whatever tradition or celebration it is possible to find similar buns worldwide.

In Mexico was integrated a nativity representation to the traditional bun using a little plastic doll representing Jesus, this little doll is inserted inside the bun and it symbolizes when Jesus was protected and hided from his enemies.

At the beginning, the little doll was made of porcelain or ceramic, nowadays it is made of plastic with high resistance to heat.

The person that find the little doll must organize a party with "Tamales" on February the 2nd which is celebrated Candelaria Day.

Escribimos este post para explicar una de las muchas tradiciones que tenemos en Mexico, esperamos que les sea de su agrado.

La "Rosca de Reyes" es un pan hecho de masa dulce de forma toroidal decorada con frutas secas, cristalizadas o confitadas, esta rosca se come en España el día 5 de Enero de cada año, día que se le conoce como "Día de Reyes".

Esta rosca se sirve en otros países de habla hispana como México y Argentina por influencia de España, también esta rosca se come en Portugal. Es muy común acompañarlas con una tasa de chocolate caliente ya sea en el desayuno o la cena. La masa utilizada para elaborar la rosca es aromatizada con agua de azahar la cual agrega un delicioso y característico olor.

Los orígenes de esta rosca no tienen nada que ver con la llegada de los Reyes Magos a Belén para adorar a Jesús, pero aparentemente esta asociado con algunas celebraciones Romanas, de cualquier forma en la actualidad esta tradición se vincula directamente con la representación comestible y complementaria de la Corona de Adviento. Estas celebraciones fueron dedicadas al Dios Saturno, para conmemorar el solsticio de invierno, para festejarla, la gente elaboraba algunas roscas cubiertas con higos, dátales y miel las cuales eran compartidas con los plebeyos y los esclavos. En el Siglo 3, dentro de la rosca fue incluido por primera ves, una haba seca y el afortunado en encontrarla era nombrado Rey de Reyes por algún corto tiempo.

Algunas variaciones de la tradicional rosca Española podrían venir por influencia directa de la repostería francesa o española. Cualquiera que sea la tradición o la celebración es posible encontrar roscas similares en cualquier parte del mundo.

En México se integro una representación de la natividad a la tradicional rosca utilizando un muñequito el cual representa a Jesús, este muñequito es introducido dentro de la rosca y simboliza cuando Jesús era protegido y ocultado de sus enemigos.

Al principio, el muñequito fue hecho de porcelana o cerámica, en la actualidad esta hecho de plástico con una alta tolerancia al calor.

La persona que encuentre el muñequito deberá organizar una fiesta con Tamales el 2 de Febrero cuando se celebra el día de la candelaria.

New points test in July 2011 / Nueva puntiación para Julio 2011

Hi fellas..

A few days ago, Australia has anounced some changes to its now points based test, this changes will go into effect on July the 1st of 2011 and will focus on work experience and high level educational qualifications just for all independent skilled migrants.

If you has studied in Australia or has completed a professional year, you will earn points as now. Although, you will not longer be able to aware points for a particular occupation, but an applicant must still nominated on the SOL.

Another change is related to age. If you are 45 to 49, now you will be able to apply for a visa, but without earning points.

  ● Age 25 - 32: 30 points
  ● Age 18 - 24 and 33 - 39: 25 points
  ● Age 40 - 44: 15 points
  ● Age 45 - 49: 0 ponints

Finally, points can be earned for Superior or Proficiency English Language but if you have Competent English now you can apply but just that, just apply.

● Superior English (A total score of at least 8 in each of the four components of the IELTS Test): 20 points
● Proficient English (A total score of at least 7 in each of the four components of the IELTS Test): 10 points

Nowadays points test puts an overseas student with a short term vocational skills with one year's work experience in Australia ahead of a Harvard educated environmental engineer with three years of relevant work experience.

This changes will be make to ensure that Australia admits just the best and brightest people from the pool of applicants.

Hace algunos días, Australia anunció algunos cambios al sistema de evaluación por puntaje, dichos cambios aplicaran a partir del día 1ro de Julio del 2011 los cuales se enfocan en la experiencia laboral y un alto grado de estudios, estos solo aplican para los migrantes independientes con cierto expertise.

Si has estudiado en Australia o has completado un año de estudios profesionales, tu podrás ganar puntos como hasta ahora se ha hecho, pero ya no podrás aumentar puntaje por una ocupación en particular, pero para aplicar tu ocupación deberá estar en la lista.

Si tienes entre 45 y 49 años, ya puedes aplicar por una visa, pero no recibirás puntos por esto, solo podrás aplicar.

  ● Edad 25 - 32: 30 puntos
  ● Edad 18 - 24 y de 33 - 39: 25 puntos
  ● Edad 40 - 44: 15 puntos
  ● Edad 45 - 49: 0 puntos

Finalmente, puedes ganar más puntos por el nivel de dominio de ingles, si tienes un nivel superior o bueno podrás recibir puntos por ello, pero si tienes nivel competente, solo podrás aplicar.

● Ingles Superior (Con un total de 8 en las cuatro bandas del IELTS): 20 puntos
● Ingles Bueno (Con un total de 7 en las cuatro bandas del IELTS): 10 puntos

El sistema de puntaje actual, coloca a un estudiante extranjero con poco tiempo de estudiar y con un año de experiencia laboral más adelante que un Graduado de Harvard con titulo de Ingeniero Ambiental y tres años de experiencia laboral.

Estos cambios se harán para asegurar que solo se admitan las personas más brillantes y mejores de todo el universo de aplacantes.

A month ago I renewed my old Dell for a brand new Macbook Pro. So, maybe you would ask.

Why you bought a MAC, if you always have been using Windows?

Well, that is a good question indeed, but there is a story to explain it.

All started a month ago like I have written some minutes ago I needed to change my Dell, then, I decided to look for new computer gear. I reviewed an Alienware and a Macbook Pro using the internet. My final election was buy an Alienware at the Dell web site as always, but what a surprise, all was done and ready but my credit card was declined, so, I tried with another one and the same happened, then I called Dell and they told me.

"Your Bank is blocking the sale, you will need to contact with a bank assistant, who can help you with this transaction."

So, I called my bank to ask for help, a man attended to me and said. "The card has a buying protection. I have already disabled it, but you have only 24 hrs to complete the transaction, after that, the card protection will be activated again."

Finally, I called Dell Computer Systems to complete the purchase, but ain't worked, the card was blocked again. I felt so frustrated the whole day.

Later that day, I looked to my watch, It was 18 hrs o'clock, was time to leave the office, so I left it and went to my house, on the way I remembered that I saw an iShop near my position, so I went to look around.

When I arrived, there were many computers, but just one attracted my attention, it was the MacBook Pro, when I looked it, I felt in love, it was so perfect, so simple and so powerful, It looked like a dream, fortunately to myself, it was real and was for sale, then I walked briskly to the front desk and I looked hard into the eyes of the grocer and I told him

"I will take this with me", I said.

"Ok, cash or credit", the man in charge said.

Then I answered "Credit", so, I took my wallet out and gave him my credit card, I was just waiting hear him to say "Sorry fella, your card was declined", but it wasn't, when I noticed I was signing the recipe, so I think "Bloody crap, the transaction was completed, but my credit card was blocked, wasn't it?. Then, what happened?. Well, that doesn't matters, I got my new Macbook".

When I arrived to my home, I was so excited, then I took my new Macbook out of its box and I turned on. It started with a celestial sound, jejee, and then The Apple Logo appeared in white with a light gray colour background while something that looks like a progress bar, started to run. After a few seconds my Mac was ready to be used.

The adaptation process took me just a few minutes, I never used a Mac before, but was easy to start use it.

The MAC OSX is fastest than any 64bit version of Windows.

You can use Mac OSX at same way you use Windows because some keys are the same on both systems, although you can install a virtual machine to run Windows or any other OS as you adapt to use MAC OSX.

I use often Visual Studio 2008 because I'm Software Designer, so, I need to use Windows too, then, I installed it on a Virtual Machine (VMware Fusion), so, I can still running Windows on my Mac and use Visual Studio at the same time.

The power-on and the power-off are really fast, you can use your Mac just 10 seconds after power button is pressed and it turns off in just 4 seconds, that is amazing.

Was a good election to bought it

If you want to buy a Mac and you are afraid about that, don't be it, buy it!!. You won't back to use Windows again.

Hace un mes cambie mi portátil, una Dell, por una MacBook Pro, tal vez se pregunten..

Porque compraste una Mac si siempre has utilizado Windows?

Esa es una muy buena pregunta, para la cual hay una buena explicación.

Todo comenzó hace un mes, como les escribí hace unos minutos, necesitaba cambiar mi Dell, así que decidí buscar un nuevo equipo, estuve revisando una Alienware y una MacBook Pro en Internet y decidí adquirir una Alienware en el sitio web de Dell, solo que esta ocasión me lleve una gran sorpresa, todo estaba configurado y listo, pero mi tarjeta de crédito no fue acreditada, se me hizo muy raro, así que intente con otra y nada, el mismo cuento, así que decidí llamar a Dell y me comentaron.

"Su banco esta bloqueando la compra, tiene que comunicarse con un ejecutivo para que lo puedan apoyar"

Entonces llame al banco y los puse al tanto de mi situación y ellos me contestaron. "Efectivamente, la tarjeta tiene un bloqueo especial, lo acabo de deshabitar, por lo cual tiene 24 has. antes de que el bloqueo se active de nuevo".

Finalmente llame a Dell para intentar completar la transacción, pero no funciono, la tarjeta seguía bloqueada, yo me sentí muy mal todo el día.

Unas cuantas horas después, mire mi reloj y me di cuenta que ya eran las 18 has, era hora de abandonar el trabajo, así que me salí de la oficina para irme a casa, en el camino, recordé que había una tienda iShop en algún lugar de la Avenida Reforma, así que fui a echar un vistazo.

Cuando llegue, habían muchas computadoras, pero solo una atrajo mi atención, fue la MacBook Pro, cuando la ví, me enamore de ella, era tan perfecta, simple y poderosa, era como un sueño, afortunadamente para mi ese sueño era real y lo mejor de todo es que estaba a la venta, así que camine rápidamente al mostrador, lo miré fijamente a los ojos y le comenté.

"Me llevare está", le dije.

"Plástico o efectivo", me comento el encargado

Entonces yo respondí "Plástico", así que saqué mi cartera y extraje mi tarjeta de crédito, la cual le di al encargado, estaba esperando oírlo decir "Lo siento, tu tarjeta fue declinada", pero no, cuando me di cuenta ya estaba firmando el recibo de compra, entonces pensé, "Demonios, mi tarjeta fue aceptada, ¿Que no estaba bloqueada?, ¿Que sucedió?, Bueno, eso no importa, ya tengo mi nevó juguete, jeje"

Cuando llegue a mi casa estaba emocionado, así que abrí la caja y saque mi Macbook, la encendí, cuando encendió, se escuchó un sonido celestial, clásico de las Mac, jejee!!! y el loo de Apple apareció en la pantalla en color blanco con gris claro de fondo mientras algo parecido a un reloj empezó a moverse, después de unos segundos, el equipo ya estaba listo.

El proceso de adaptación solo me tomo algunos minutos, yo nunca use una Mac antes, pero fue fácil comenzar a utilizarla.

El Sistema Operativo (MAC OSX Snow Leopard) es mas rápido que cualquier versión equivalente de Windows.

Puedes utilizar una Mac como si utilizaras una PC con Windows, ya que las teclas que se utilizan son las mismas en ambos sistemas, de cualquier forma, puedes instalar una maquina virtual para ejecutar Windows o cualquier otro Sistema Operativo mientras te adaptas a utilizar MAC OSX.

Yo me dedico a diseñar software para Windows, es por eso que utilizo una maquina virtual en mi MAC (VMware Fusion), así que puedo continuar usando Windows en mi Mac y utilizar Visual Studio al mismo tiempo.

El encendido y apagado son realmente rápidos, puedes empezar a utilizar tu Mac solo 10 segundos desde que presionaste el botón de encendido y se apaga en solo 4 segundos, es sorprendente.

Realmente fue una buena elección comprar una Mac.

Si deseas comprar una y tienes miedo, ¡¡cómprala!!, no te preocupes, nunca volverás a utilizar Windows de nuevo..

I'm feel so happy.. why?. Because my fiancée has approved her DB2 Fundamentals Certification exam, uuhUU, she is on way to the top.

This month has been filled of good news.

Hey fellas today was a glorious day..

Why?, you could ask.

Yesterday night, I received this email on my inbox..

"Dear student: We are glad to notify you that we already have your Degree and Professional Cedula at College, so we are pleased to ask you pick it up as soon as possible to our College Services Department at Cuitlahuac Campus with a valid Id, where happily we will be waiting for you. Our timetable at College Services is Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 to 20:30 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00. We will wait any comment or doubt you could have in mind."

So, today I went to the College to pick-up my Degree in which certifies myself as a Bachelor in Computer Systems.

I'm so excited about that. It's amazing how a little piece of paper can bring you happiness.

El día de ayer por la noche recibí este correo.

"Estimad@ alumn@: Por este medio informo que ya tenemos en nuestro poder el Titulo y Cédula profesional de la Licenciatura, por tal motivo solicitamos de la manera mas atenta acudan lo mas pronto posible al departamento de Servicios Escolares Campus Cuitláhuac con una identificación, en donde con gusto se los entregaremos. El horario de atención es de lunes a viernes de 9:00 a 20:30 hrs. y los sábados de 09:00 a 13:00 hrs. Sin mas por el momento quedo a sus ordenes."

Así que el día de hoy fui a la Universidad a recoger mi Titulo, el cual me acredita como Licenciado en Ingeniería de Sistemas Computacionales.

Estoy muy emocionado por eso. Es asombroso como un pequeño pedazo de papel puede traer tanta felicidad.

This time I will write you about an experience that my fiancée had at her work some days ago. It will give a sence to this post.

Ok, let me tell about a tale, a tale of love and success a tale of.... No, no, nothing about it, is the opposite.

Well, here we go..

Some days ago, my fiancée called me to tell me that she had found a mobile phone, an iPhone, at her job. My first reaction was to tell her

"Hey, return that phone'"

"I could, but I can't, because everyone in my work have his mobile phones insurance then when a phone loses, his owner report it as stolen to claim the insurance fee", My fiance said.

"Well, that is fine, but why you don't return the mobile?", I said.

"Because, everyone that had returned the missing mobile phones were fired", my fiancée said.

"Why?", I said.

"Because they would suppose that you are the thief, the mobile was reported as stolen, remember". My fiancée said.

"Great!!, nice way to reward honesty". I said.

"I don't want to have misunderstandings at my work, I don't want to lose it". My fiancée said.

"Ok I agree with you. We need to destroy that phone". I said.

"I agree", said my fiance.

To be honest, has a reward... I'm being sarcastic of course, jee.

Es bueno tenerlos de vuelta después de mucho tiempo sin postear.

En esta ocasión les escribiré de una experiencia que tubo mi prometida en su trabajo, experiencia que le da una razón de ser al post.

OK, les contare una historia de amor y éxito, una historia de…. Esperen, no, no es nada eso, es todo lo contrario.

Y bueno, aquí vamos.

Hace algunos días, mi prometida me llamo para comentarme que se había encontrado un teléfono móvil, un iPhone, en su trabajo. Mi primera reacción fue decirle.

"Oye, regresa ese teléfono".

"Podría hacerlo, pero no puedo, ya que aquí todos tienen su teléfono asegurado, así que cuando un teléfono se pierde, lo reportan como robado para cobrar el seguro". Mi prometida dijo.

"Bien, ¿Pero porque no regresas el teléfono?", le dije.

"Porque todos los que han intentado regresar los teléfonos extraviados fueron despedidos". dijo mi prometida.

"¿Porque?", dije.

"Porque ellos supondrán que tu eres el ladrón. ¿Recuerdas que fue reportado como robado?". Mi prometida dijo.

"Eso esta excelente, bonita forma de premiar la honestidad!!", dije yo.

"Yo no quiero tener malos entendidos en mi trabajo, No lo quiero perder". Dijo mi prometida.

"OK, estoy de acuerdo contigo. Necesitamos destruir ese teléfono". Le dije.

"Estoy de acuerdo", Mi prometida dijo..

Ser honesto tiene su recompensa… Estoy siendo sarcástico, jejee..

From June to September it's rain season, therefore, flood season too.

Mexico City turns into a Latin-American Venice. Periferico, Viaducto and other main highways get flooded and look like a wild-river, so, cars instead of driving along the highway, navigate through it. In Coastal Cities like Acapulco, in really extreme situations, cars finalize his journey parked on the beach or sailing on the sea.

Most of people, here in Mexico, argues that floods are government fault, but they don't realize that floods are caused by people throwing rubbish in the street, causing several damages to The Water Disposal System. Indeed, you can find rubbish at any place.

Talk about it makes me feel so annoy, because I'm talking about my country, the place that has gave me a home, it hurts but it's true.

It's common to see people blowing rubbish out from his cars or when they are walking on the street. Bloody crap, if your houses get flooded don't get mad, face the problem and think before throw rubbish on the street, lets make a better city to live in.

La Ciudad de México se convierte en una Venecia-Latinoamericana, el Periférico, Viaducto y de mas avenidas y circuitos se inundan y parece ríos salvajes, y los autos en vez de conducir sobre la autopista, navegan por ella. En ciudades costeras como Acapulco, en situaciones extremas, los autos terminan estacionados en la playa o navegando como si fueran barcos en el mar.

La mayoría de la gente de aquí, le hecha la culpa al gobierno de las inundaciones, de lo que no se dan cuenta es que las inundaciones son causadas por la gente que tira la basura a las calles causando severos daños al sistema de drenaje, por lo cual puedes encontrar basura en cualquier lugar.

Hablas de esto me hace sentir disgustado, porque estoy hablando de mi país que me ha dado un hogar, realmente duele pero es cierto.

Es común ver a la gente tirando la basura por la ventanilla de sus autos o cuando van caminando por la calle. Maldita sea.. si sus casas se inundan no se enojen y afronten las consecuencias de sus actos, tal vez así puedan pensar antes de tirar la basura a las calles, hagamos de esta una mejor ciudad para vivir.

Hi mates.

So much time has passed since our last post..

This time I'll write about our special song, maybe you know it, no, you must know it, our special song is sung by The Cranberries.

I heard it when we (my fiance and I) went to Cancun for a one week getaway, that song is not only a song is "The Song" and is special for me not by the meaning of it, or by the music or even not by the composer or the group. The Song is special for me because I heard it on a magical moment of my life, that moment was pretty amazing and exciting, was beautiful and breathtaking, was so romantic and charming and was the moment when I asked my fiance to marry me.

G'day mates.

A month ago I started my English course at The Anglo. Why there?, because I want to attend classes there and they teach British English.

The first class was great, I started in M2, (Intemediate) there are 6 levels for intermedate, and if you want it, you can schedule an ESOL exam to certify your English level.

Classes are totally in English, then you can improve your speaking skills.

The Anglo have extra activities to improve your English skills, like Grammar Lab.

Conversations and Reading Club, those are so good, Oh, I almost forget cultural activities too, like: British Cinema, Theater, etc. Some of those activities have an extra cost, but if you are a The Anglo Student, you will get a 50% of discount.

Evaluations are like The British Council Exams. They evaluate reading, grammar, listening and speaking.

Reading Exam consists to read and to comprehend an article and identify the main idea of each paragraph in the reading, then, the exam is followed by the classic answers about the reading and at last, Boolean Answers (True or False). This exam is as harder as easy, because many of the questions are tricky.

Grammar evaluation is like any other, first, you need to complete blanks of a short story using the correct words. The next activity is to rewrite a phrase with the same meaning but using certain words.

Listening exam, consists in to pay attention to a short story, then you need to fill the blanks with the missing word, another activity is select the best answer to the question, another one is select the correct items used in the story from a list and the last, classic true or false questions.

Speaking test consist in to create a presentation about some special theme, this time the theme was about chossing an Olympic Games City Host. You talk about pros and cons of that election to our classmates and teacher.

The Anglo way to teach english is one of the best I ever tried, they teach you english and they prepare you for your certification exam too.

Hola amigos.

Hace mes y medio aproximadamente, inicie mi curso de ingles en The Anglo. ¿Porque ahí?, porque tenía tiempo que quería asistir a clases ahí además de que enseñan ingles británico

La primera clase estuvo muy bien, Inicie en intermedio nivel II, hay 6 niveles para intermedio, una vez terminado el nivel, puedes solicitar un examen de certificación ESOL, el cual te aplican ahí.

Las clases son en ingles en su totalidad, por lo cual puedes mejorar tus habilidades para hablarlo.

The Anglo tiene actividades extra que te ayudan a mejorar tu nivel de ingles como el taller de grammar.

Existe también el club de lectura y dialogo los cuales recomiendo. Esperen casi lo olvido, también existen actividades culturales como: El ciclo de cine británico, teatro etc. Algunas de estas actividades tienen un costo adicional, pero si eres alumno de The Anglo, te ofrecen un descuento del 50%.

La forma de evaluar es parecida a la que tienen en The British Council. Te hacen exámenes para lectura, grammar, listening y speaking.

El examen de lectura, consiste en leer y comprender la idea principal de cada párrafo en la lectura, a continuación, el examen es precedido por las clásicas preguntas y por último, preguntas de verdadero y falso. Este examen puede ser fácil o muy difícil ya que algunas de las preguntas están truqueadas.

El examen de gramática es como cualquier otro, primero el clásico de llenar los espacios en blanco para completar la historia. La siguiente actividad, consiste en reescribir la frase con el mismo significado utilizando ciertas palabras.

El examen de listening consiste en poner atención a una historia corta y completar con la palabra o frase correcta los espacios en blanco, otra actividad consiste en seleccionar la mejor respuesta a la pregunta según lo escuchado, también hay una actividad que se trata de seleccionar de una lista, los artículos que se mencionan en el listening y por último, las clásicas preguntas de verdadero o falso.

El examen de speaking se trata de crear una presentación acerca de un tema, en esta ocasión se trato sobre elegir una ciudad para los juegos olímpicos y exponer los pros y los contras de la elección a nuestros compañeros y al profesor.

La forma en la que The Anglo enseña el Ingles, es una de las mejores que he probado, te enseñan y también te preparan para el examen de certificación.

Now, I am going to write about Nexus One mobile phone by Google.

The mobile phone cover looks so great, it is simple and thin, also has a big WVGA AMOLED touch screen, there're 4 command buttons below: Back, Menu, Home and Seek. A Trackball is followed down command buttons.

Volume control is situated at the upper mobiles left side and the power button is placed at the top next to the audio jack.

The phone graphics are fashionably amazing considering that it has an AMOLED touch screen and 480x800 pixels of resolution with high contrast, these make the 3Gs iphone look old.

You can storage any stuff you want using his 4GB SD card (upgradeable to 32 GB) included with the phone.

His 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus will make anyone look so good or feel like a Hollywood star performing a scene with his recording mode.

Android 2.1 is the main system core of the phone and it performs so fast on his 1 Ghz qualcom prosessor using 512 Mb of random access memory.

Nexus One phone integrates all Google stuff with the phone, you can sync your google contacts, email, calendars, reader, etc.

If you want to expand the phone capabilities, you can access to Android Market to download free applications for your phone.

Unlocked Nexus One phone is also compatible with 3G networks here in Mexico, because it uses GSM Bands 850, 900, 1800, 1900 mhz.

Other stuff included:

- AGPS receiver.

- Accelerometer.

- A led flash.

- Speaker.

- FM receiver.

- Bluethoot.

- Wi-fi

- Digital compass.

- Proximity sensor.

- Ligth sensor.

Pros...

- You can execute any application and open as many as needed, these will still be running in the backroung and will be available when you need them, all this thanks to his multitasking support.

- If you need to fetch your mail using your laptop, you can use Tethering, which is included in the phone os.

- Phone customization is so great, widgets, wallpapers, live wallpapers, themes, etc. can be used to build your own phone.

- Nice colors, contrast and graphics on his AMOLED touch screen.

- Voyeur?, his 5 mp autofocus camera will make you happy.

- Has a real AGPS receiver.

- Slim and clean phone.

Ahora les voy a contar acerca de mi nuevo móvil, un Nexus One.

El teléfono tiene un aspecto interesante, es simple y delgado, además de tener una súper pantalla táctil WVGA AMOLED, el teléfono tiene además 4 botones en la parte inferior, Back, Menú, Home and Seek. Abajo de estos se encuentra un Trackball, con el cual puedes navegar en el teléfono.

El control del volumen se encuentra en la parte superior izquierda del teléfono en un costado y el botón de encendido en la parte superior del teléfono a un lado de la entrada para los audífonos.

Los gráficos del teléfono son extremadamente asombrosos considerando que tiene una pantalla de AMOLED con una resolución de 480x800 pixeles y un buen contraste, esto hace que el iphone 3Gs, se vea viejo a su lado.

Además puedes almacenar cualquier cosa en su memoria de 4Gb. (Expandible a 3s GB.).

Su cámara de 5.1 mega pixeles con autofoco puede hacer que cualquiera se vea como un actor actuando para una película de Hollywood.

El sistema base del Teléfono es Android 2.1 y trabaja con un insuperable rendimiento en su procesador Qualcom de 1 GHz. utilizando una memoria ram de 512 mb.

El móvil integra todas las utilerías de Google las cuales puedes sincronizar con tu teléfono, alunas de ellas son gmail, reader, listener, calendars, contacts, etc.

Si quieres expandir las capacidades del teléfono puedes descargar aplicaciones del Android Market.

El móvil que adquirí yo fue el desbloqueado, el cual es compatible con las redes 3G de México como la de Telcel y Movistar ya que usa las Bandas 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz.

El equipamiento que trae el teléfono consiste en:

- Receptor Asistido GPS.

- Acelerómetro.

- Flash tipo Led.

- Altoparlante.

- Receptor de FM.

- Bluethoot.

- Wi-fi

- Brújula Digital.

- Sensor de proximidad.

Pros...

- Puedes ejecutar múltiples aplicaciones gracias a su soporte multitarea.

- Puedes utilizar el móvil como modem, para obtener tu correo electrónico en tu portátil.

- Puedes personalizar tu móvil gracias a los widgets, papeles tapices animados, temas de escritorio etc.

- Excelentes gráficos con colores vibrantes contrastantes.

- Si eres voyerista, su cámara de 5.1 mega pixeles te hará feliz.

- Tiene un receptor real GPS.

- Diseño delgado y simple.

- Puedes utilizarlo como un dispositivo de almacenamiento masivo.

Contras...

- No puedes copiar textos del cliente de correo electrónico.

- Hay muchas aplicaciones para el teléfono, pero no tantas como para el iphone

Este móvil, por ahora no tiene rival en nuestro mercado nacional, y el iphone no se puede comparar con el

Hi mates.

Today, the June 18, 2010 lets write about news headings of some important newspapers on my country, I'll write my personal point of view, I hope not being rude.

In my personal opinion, some news headings bare a bloody mess with ortographic mistakes (any can be mistaken, but they can't), but.., the worst, is the main context idea of the heading, I must admit, some are funny (depends of the situation), but on serious issues , headings still being funny and with bad taste, you can have a tasty of I write you, just watch the pics.

For example. Yesterday morning, on way to my work, I readed on a newspaper header "Se echan 3 de tripa", what kind of header is that?, three inocent people dies and newspaper editors write that!, and the worst thing, photos, they put a pic of the dead people on the main page. On my childhood, I never saw that kind of news on a newapaper, never on a main page, they don't have any respect for those died persons and his rellies.

Well, I feel better sharing this with you, I'd fall a sleep at nigth.

On other news!!!

Our football team won the match vs. France yesterday, 2 by 0. They show us a great and spectacular battle.

Hola camaradas...

El día de hoy escribiré sobre los encabezado de algunos diarios en nuestro país, recuerden, solo es mi punto de vista, solo espero no ser grosero.

A mi parecer, algunos periódicos muestran, en sus encabezados un verdadero desastre, con horrores de ortografía (Cualquiera puede cometernos, pero ellos no!!), lo peor de estos encabezados es el concepto que dan a entender, debo admitir que algunos son muy graciosos (Depende de la situación), pero en situaciones serias, bueno, algunos encabezados terminan siendo graciosos y de mal gusto, si no, denle un vistazo a las imágenes que coloco...

Por ejemplo, ayer en la mañana, cuando iba camino al trabajo, Leí en un periódico "Se echan 3 de tripa", ¿Que tipo de encabezado es ese?, tres personas inocentes mueren y los editores escriben eso!!, y lo peor, las fotos, colocaron una foto de los muertos en la página principal. Cuando yo era niño, nunca se veían esas cosas en el periódico, nunca en la página principal, no tienen respeto por esa gente muerta ni pos sus familiares.

Bueno, me siento un poco mejor contándoles esto, ya podre dormir tranquilo.

En otras noticias.

Nuestra selección gano ayer el partido contra Francia, 2 por 0 quedo el marcador. Mostraron una gran y espectacular batalla..

Hi there.

Some times our wishes are to high to reach them, high but not higher, higher but not impossible.

Some times we live the dream of others and let inside us an empty feeling. That feeling let us forget everything about "our" dreams and we say "Are we doing the right?".

Looking arround us, we can notice our friends making his dreams or plans come true.

But, What about us?

When our dreams will come true?

When we can start to live?

Then, we look back and remember everything we do to stay on our way and go ahead and say. "Each people are fighting his own battles to make his dreams come true, some gives up, some stay on the way and still fighting".

From the same way our friends are living and feeling there dreams.

We are doing the same, but it will take us a lot of time than expected, impossible it isn't, but such so hard.

And we still here, writing on a foreign languge, living our lives each day, remembering dreamed moments and fighting our own battles. Everyday is a "new" day.

It such hard to feel like that, like walking over clouds, but well, It happen when you takes a hard decision, "Life will charge you, but will reward you making your dreams come true."

I hope life can reward us such so good.

Although, we will still seeding our field and wait for the rain to fall to harvest our crops.

A few things!!! / Algunas cosas!!!

Howdy mates.

This days have been a little lazy, hard and full of changes, it's hard for us to understand all those changes made by "Immigration Guys". "The new SOL", "General Skilled Migration temporal suspension" and a nearly "Point System Change". The way to Australia is turning a little hard, but not imposible, but damn... you can feel inside a little pain and afraid about future. Now we can feel that and we doesn't already start our immigration process. That is now!!, what would happen when we start our immigration process and when bad news arrive. WE PROBABLY DIE!!, lol I being a little dramatic, I hope so!!!

Well, my fiance ended his tesis, almost, she just need to complete some little issues and it will done.

About our english courses, my fiance started a course on his job on tuesday, wenesday and fridays. About me, I will attend a course this Saturday at The Anglo, I will write about my experience later.

Hey mates, I changed my mobile phone by a unlocked Nexus One, I bought it on ebay, it works great here in Mexico with 3G Telcel network connection, great investment, works such good. I'm selling my iphone, if some one want it please contact me..

I will write a review of my new phone on a later post.

Hola compañeros.

Este día ha estado un poco flojo, pesado y lleno de cambios, para nosotros es difícil entender los cambios realizados por "Los Chicos de Migraciones". "La nueva lista SOL", "La suspensión temporal del plan General de Migración" y una próxima modificación en el sistema de puntos. El camino a Australia se está poniendo un poco difícil, pero no imposible, maldita sea... puede sentirse algo dentro, un poco de dolor y miedo por el futuro. Ahora podemos sentir eso y todavía no hemos iniciado nuestro proceso de inmigración. Eso es ahora!!, ¿Qué pasará cuando empezamos nuestro proceso de inmigración y llegan las malas noticias?. Lo más probable es que muramos!!!, Jeje estoy siendo un poco dramático, eso espero!

Bueno, mi prometida terminó su tesis, bueno, casi, ella sólo tiene que completar algunas cuestiones y estará terminada.

Acerca de nuestros cursos de inglés, mi prometida comenzó un curso en su trabajo los martes, miércoles y viernes. Acerca de mí. Y yo, voy a asistir a un curso este sábado en The Anglo, voy a escribir sobre mi experiencia más adelante.
